‘Obsessed’ doesn’t even cover it…… how incredible are these dungarees!!!! I want a pair!!! Made using our leopard print denim we’ve recently restocked & giraffe print, this amazing customer has made these absolutely adorable dungarees for their grandchild. I’m absolutely in love. AND they have little pockets 😭😍

11 days until Needle Nook officially turns 1! My first day open was 15th September 2025, and I can’t believe it’s somehow a whole year later! To say a massive thank you for all your love and support you’ve shown my little shop & I, I’m hosting a little open day on Saturday 19th September.
I’m still organising the final details behind the scenes, and will share more information soon (it involves goody bags!), but for now, jot the date in your diaries 😁🌟

I also wanted to use this celebration to do some good, so (in hope the weather is kind to us) I will have a little table out the front where I will be supporting the charity SMA UK. They’re doing very important work, including their most recent achievement of newborn screening in the uk. I’m in the middle of planning a little raffle, a ‘guess how many buttons’ game, and more to support them.

This new collection is ‘out of this world’ ….I know, I know, sorry😂 but it’s a great collection for anyone you know that loves space, or is trying to learn about space, especially with the panel which shows off all the planets and could be made into a great wall hanging, or bed spread! 🚀

And how cute are the gold stars with this collection. If it was a wall hanging you could add a fun edging with the 4 prints, and the gold stars hanging at the top or bottom!

Thank you to both Cathy, the wonderful tutor & all the lovely people that attended our latest workshop: Patchwork & quilting for beginners!
(And thank you for letting me be paparazzi!!) it’s been so fun seeing the progress of everybody’s quilts, and seeing the excitement as they come together! (I’ve just realised I didn’t get a close up of all the quilts in action - but will hopefully be able to share the finished results once the final touches are all done!)

I hope you all had a wonderful time & hopefully we can host another in the future for those that missed out this time!

Pinch punch first of the month!
….1st of September…. The mornings and evenings feel the tiniest bit cooler, (or at least compared to those heatwaves…) and the shop is in need of a new window display or two…. I may have to be inspired by these ★ RUBY STAR SOCIETY ★ Halloween themed fabrics for my next display .. 🐈‍⬛

1st of September also means day 2 of our quilting workshop with lovely Cathy!! The quilts will be coming together today, the final pieces will be stitched, loose threads trimmed & hopefully lots of pride for our quilters looking at their finished pieces! I’m so excited to see them all complete!!

New gummy bear fabric is too cute! Have had a few more ★ RUBY STAR SOCIETY ★ fabrics in recently too!

The giant gummy bear is from the RSS cut & sew panel, made into a plushy, however could be sewn onto a denim jacket or the star of a cushion front, a little ones dress or shirt or whatever creative idea you have! There’s a pink & a blue bear, which I have done as reversible for this example!

Extra note:
Christmas fabrics are out on the shelves for those that want to start making (I made sure I was plenty early this year on getting them out - a lesson from last year!)

Imagining a big skirt, with a navy top, and lots of pink accessories…(like pink cowgirl boots!?) or a dress with a hot pink belt!!😆 or making it the feature of a RSS inspired quilt!

Tomorrow will be one whole month away from Needle Nook’s one year of being open!!🥹

Thank you all again for all your kindness & support over the past 11 months (that’s crazy!?). Lots of lessons and mistakes still to be made I’m sure, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the challenges so far.

All deliveries from this week are now out, and just a few sewing jobs to be caught up on today and tomorrow, to end the week nicely.

(For any new lovely people: Hi!! I’m Beth, the person you’ll meet when you come in! I talk far too much, but love hearing and seeing all the things you’re currently making!) 💛
