Also coming to Gather is Katherine Mary Hill

Katherine is a textile artist working mostly with recycled and vintage fabric. She uses appliqué (collage with fabrics) to create images, which are then made into cushions and hot water bottle covers. She creates her own designs - usually animal-based, and particularly enjoys mixing different colours, patterns and textures in the fabric to create something completely new.

Somewhere along the way, she also happened upon the idea of converting old eggcups into tiny pin cushions. These are made by creating small ball-shaped cushions which fit perfectly inside the eggcups... and allow her to indulge her passion for mixing and matching colours and patterns, albeit on a much smaller scale.
