I love being back living on the Wirral where I grew up, specifically on the coast in West Kirby. It has so much to offer – good transport links, good schools, lots of independent shops, cafés and restaurants and it’s a great place for families with access to open spaces and also the benefits of cities such as Liverpool, Manchester and Chester. It also suits those who are planning to split their times between more than one location or want to downsize. Since I moved back, I’ve reconnected with a small number of school friends who also ended up moving back. Quite honestly there’s nowhere else I’d rather live.

All this makes it the perfect location for small prestige developers and property investors who are looking to rebuild, extend, refurbish or convert. However, the uncertainty surrounding global events, the cost of living and mortgage rates creating hesitancy among buyers. I’m empathetic. As someone who worked in the field of family law I’m very used to working with people who feel stressed. I like talking to people so when I go to meet people for the first time it’s generally a question of putting the kettle on and having a good chat discussing your plans and sharing in your excitement.
At the same time I’m professional. My role as a home stager is to be entirely honest. Whilst the focus is obviously on the positive if there are any negatives then I will point those out. It doesn’t help anybody especially you if I’m not. Sometimes it might not be the right time for those home truths in which case that’s fine I’ll be there when you’re ready, but I will be supportive.
I always aim to do the best possible job for you and your property paying attention to the details and tailoring it to your property and your target market. I see selling your home as a team effort so will work with all the other professionals involved to help the sale go through.

What actually happens when I asked to provide a quote for staging a property? The other day I was asked to provide a quote for a vacant property so thought it would be a good idea to share what happens.

I will usually have printed off the floor plans and scaled up the sections of the principal rooms. I walk round noting the position of electrical sockets and any other relevant features and making notes of the main items that I would need. I will mark the position of furniture on the floor plans. The aim is to ensure that I have all the information I need in order to provide an accurate quotation for the client.
