It’s been busy busy busy this December! With a toddler, the day job, Christmas prep and the many dots in the calendar, I’ve taken a little break from the painting side of things and focused on the admin (boring but necessary) and my favourite job of posting prints off to their new homes! Today our little ‘Linton’ is off to new homes in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿and Australia! 🇦🇺🦘We hope you love him as much as we do!

I’ve taken a little break from painting to get some admin jobs done before the madness of Christmas begins. It’s amazing how much of a paper trail there is when you’re putting work in different galleries and shops - and this year I’m hoping to be part of a Christmas market too, so there’s a lot to organise!
In the meantime though, we’ve been loving the colder weather and getting cozy by the fire. I’m hoping to have the time to create a couple of Christmas card designs in the next week, so watch this space….

The first illustrations I created were to hang above my daughter’s cot and I hope they’re something she’ll hold on to as she grows older - perhaps they’ll hang in her own child’s room one day…

Meet Jambo! This little guy has been waiting in the wings to be put down on paper and now that he’s here, I’m so excited to see him framed and up in the gallery! The first time I saw a giraffe in the wild, I was on a pretty rickety boat on a sunrise cruise down the Nile in Uganda and two of these gentle giants appeared alongside some bathing elephants. They really do take your breath away. That there are less than 100,000 giraffes left in the wild now is heart breaking 💔
‘Jambo’ is Swahili for ‘hello’ - although this is a coincidence. He shares his name with Bonnie’s stuffed giraffe named by her Daddy. (Any guesses which team he supports? 😂)

Introducing our latest arrival ‘Linton’ the Black Hebridean lamb, named after the historic village of West Linton in the Scottish Borders which we’ve called home for the past year. These little black lambs brightened up our lockdown spring walks around the village and I couldn’t resist painting one of these sweet little faces!
