And yes… sometimes that means telling you something you don’t necessarily want to hear!
1. Buying something just because it’s on trend.
If you genuinely LOVE it, that’s different.
But if the reason you want it is because you’ve suddenly seen it in every magazine, showroom and Instagram post, we’ll probably ask you to think again.
Will you still love it when everyone has moved onto the next thing?
2. Playing it safe because you’re scared of getting it wrong.
This happens ALL the time.
You show us rooms full of colour, pattern and personality that you absolutely love…
Then when it comes to your own room, you ask for beige because you’re worried you’ll get bored of anything else.
That’s usually when we’ll push you a little.
Not into something you don’t like but towards the things you’ve already told us you DO.
3. Filling a space just because there’s room.
An empty corner doesn’t automatically need a chair.
A blank wall doesn’t automatically need a piece of furniture against it.
And sometimes taking something OUT makes a room look far better than adding something else in.
We’re not here to give you the room WE want.
It still needs to feel completely like you but you are paying us for our professional opinion and that means we’ll tell you when we think something isn’t going to work.
Even if it’s not always what you want to hear!
If you want more tips like this comment GUIDE and I’ll send you our Complementary Guide to help you with your next room make-over.
