🔧 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝... 𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝘼𝙔! 🔧

Not everything always goes to plan. Jobs get delayed, materials get damaged, and sometimes things completely out of our control can throw a spanner in the works.

We always do everything we can to make sure our side is organised, professional and completed to the highest standard, but occasionally these things happen.

So when we unexpectedly found ourselves with a free half day last week, there was only one thing for it...
🚐 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝘼𝙔
Time to tidy out the old workhorses, organise the tools and finally sort out the unit, which has been a bit neglected after months of being absolutely rammed with work.
Now everything is back where it should be and we're ready for the next wave of jobs! 💪

A big shout out as well to 𝙀𝙙𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 in Beaminster. We turned up to a job over an hour away from the unit and discovered not all the materials were on site. They stepped in and supplied exactly what we needed to keep the job moving.
Thanks, Jim – your help was really appreciated! 👏

If you're thinking about new flooring, don't leave it too long. Our diary is filling up fast, so get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

🏡 Thinking About Upgrading Your Flooring? 🏡

New flooring can completely transform a room, making it feel fresher, brighter and more modern without the cost of a full renovation.

✨ Benefits of LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) Whether you choose click-fit or glue-down LVT, you'll enjoy: ✔️ Hard-wearing and durable ✔️ Easy to clean and maintain ✔️ Water-resistant options available ✔️ Great for busy family homes and pet owners ✔️ Suitable for kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and living areas ✔️ Realistic wood and tile effects without the maintenance
LVT comes in a huge range of styles including: 🌳 Traditional wood planks 🧱 Tile effects 🪵 Herringbone patterns 🧺 Basket weave designs 🎨 Modern and contemporary finishes

🧶 Benefits of Carpet Carpet remains a popular choice for many homes because it offers: ✔️ Warmth and comfort underfoot ✔️ Better insulation, helping rooms feel cosier ✔️ Reduced noise levels ✔️ A softer, safer surface for children and older family members ✔️ A welcoming feel in bedrooms, lounges and on stairs
Carpet styles are more varied than ever, including: 🔹 Twist pile carpets 🔹 Loop pile carpets 🔹 Herringbone patterns 🔹 Zig-zag designs 🔹 Bold stripes 🔹 Modern colours and traditional shades

The best flooring choice depends on your home, lifestyle and budget. Some customers love the practicality of LVT, while others prefer the comfort of carpet—and many choose a combination of both!

If you're considering new flooring and would like some advice, samples or a free measure, get in touch. We'd be happy to help you find the perfect floor for your home.

☀️ Hot Week Working Away at Smallbrook Care Home ☀️

What a week it's been!

🚐 We travelled up on Bank Holiday Monday, with the journey taking over 4 hours to reach our B&B ready for an early start.

Tuesday 🔹 Ripped out 245sqm of corridor and bedroom gel-back carpet 🔹 Completed 2 wetrooms

Wednesday 🔹 Installed a massive 17.5m carpet drop 🔹 Fitted 6 smaller drops around corridor corners 🔹 Completed another 2 wetrooms

Thursday - Final Day 🔹 Installed 7 more carpet drops to finish the main corridor 🔹 Fitted 2 bedrooms in a fresh new green carpet 🔹 Completed the final wetroom 🔹 Installed the last corridor section measuring 13.5m long

With temperatures soaring both outside and inside the building, this one was certainly a challenge! 🥵

The hard work paid off though, as we completed everything with a day to spare, allowing us to travel home on Friday and enjoy the start of the weekend with our families before the school holidays come to an end.
A huge effort from the team and another project completed to a high standard 💪

🚨 Damp Nightmare! 🚨

After ripping up this customer’s old floor, we discovered it was badly affected by damp and mould underneath 😬

Unfortunately, we didn’t have the correct materials with us on the day to properly rectify the issue, but after explaining the problem and the best solution, Bob was more than happy to wait and have it done correctly 👍

We returned to:
✔️ Apply F. Ball F77 DPM to stop the damp penetrating again
✔️ Leave it to cure for 24 hours
✔️ Prime and latex the floor for a perfectly smooth finish
✔️ Install this lovely Altro Pisces Blue Penguin safety flooring 🐧💙

Even though the job took longer than expected, Bob was really pleased with the final result — and agreed it was definitely worth the wait!

🔥 Look at this great opportunity we’ve got this week! 🔥

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately because we’ve been absolutely inundated with work — and we’re incredibly grateful for it. Business has been booming, with both new and returning customers, plus some great new companies we’re now working alongside 🙌

This week’s project is a mammoth one:

🚐 2 vans loaded with carpet, underlay, gripper and all the essentials

🏠 A full day spent sticking gripper and laying underlay over a first-floor underfloor heated concrete screed
📏 200sqm of carpet to start installing tomorrow

This one is being completed in two phases:
• 3 days this week – upstairs
• 3 days next week – downstairs and stairs

If you’re thinking about new flooring — or even just want some advice — please get in touch sooner rather than later, as we’re already booking up towards late May!

💪 Smashed it again, Corey!
Another great job completed — 2 bedrooms, landing and stairs all smashed out by Corey AGAIN 👏
This time in a new build on Portland, fitted with a lovely grey twist carpet to finish it off nicely.
Quality work, quick turnaround, and another happy customer.
Well done Corey! 🔥

🏡 Big Project Incoming!

We’ve got the pleasure of transforming this massive house — removing the old stuck-down hard-wearing carpets and replacing them with a soft underlay, gripper, and twist pile carpet, plus a brand new LVT ground floor for a fresh modern finish.

We’re still trying to work out how we’re getting these monster carpet rolls up those stairs 😅… but where there’s a will, there’s a way 💪

Now it's all ripped up the painters can do there job and we prepare to tackle this beast in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for progress updates — this one’s going to be a transformation!

Sorry we’ve been a bit quiet!

Our “busy season” clearly decided to start from day one this year 😅 — and honestly, we’re amazed and humbled by the amount of work coming in, especially the number of returning customers. We can’t thank you all enough for the continued support 🙌

Here are a few running cove wetrooms we’ve completed over the past couple of weeks — clean lines, seamless finish, and built to last.

If you’re looking for a watertight, sleek, slip-resistant bathroom floor, get in touch today and we’ll be happy to help plan the perfect setup for you.
