💙 A special day with The Fifth Trust 💙
We recently spent a brilliant day with The Fifth Trust, our 2026 Charity of the Year, where we were delighted to present a cheque for £2,396, raised thanks to the generosity of our amazing customers.
🌳 The money will go towards The Fifth Trust’s Outdoor Active project, helping to create a fully accessible, equipped Tipi where adults with learning disabilities can enjoy outdoor learning throughout the year.
The Tipi will provide a welcoming space to connect with nature, build confidence and develop practical skills through activities including bushcraft, fire-making, carving and woodland management. It will also feature ramp access, heating and dedicated space for learning and equipment, helping to make the hub accessible and usable all year round.
💬 Michael James, Fundraising Manager at The Fifth Trust, explains what the money raised will help achieve:
“This project will remove barriers to outdoor learning, with the Tipi enabling more adults with learning disabilities the chance to develop practical skills, improve their wellbeing and enjoy meaningful experiences in nature.”
🌿 This visit also gave us the chance to explore both sites, including the vineyard, café and horticulture areas, as well as seeing woodwork, Cook Club, design and multi-skills in action.
Most importantly, we got to meet and chat with students, hear their stories and see first-hand the fantastic work The Fifth Trust does every day - it was brilliant!
