Carpet fitter post has become available to work within a well established flooring firm.

Previous experience is desired but not essential. Must be willing to learn the trade through on the job training.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring work vehicles are kept clean and tidy.

Preparation:
Moving furniture, removing old flooring, and preparing the floor surface.

Measuring and Cutting:
Accurately measuring floor space and cutting carpet, vinyl, or other floor coverings to fit.

Installation:
Fitting underlay, securing carpet, and using various tools and techniques to ensure a professional finish.

Finishing Touches:
Trimming and re-hanging doors, putting furniture back, and potentially spraying protective coatings.

Customer Interaction:
Depending on the role, interacting with customers to discuss options, measure spaces, and estimate materials.

Safety:
Following safety guidelines when working with glues, solvents, and other chemicals.

Skills and Qualities:
Physical Stamina: The job can involve lifting and moving heavy objects.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate measurements and cuts.
