A statement piece that brings timeless character into a beautifully neutral space.

This stunning ornate sideboard has been lovingly restored in Cathedral Taupe, a warm neutral cream that creates the perfect balance between softness and sophistication. The delicate detailing and ornate features give this piece its elegant presence, while the calming tone allows it to blend effortlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.

The solid oak top and stretcher base have been carefully sanded and sealed with multiple coats of clear matt varnish, allowing the natural grain to shine through beautifully. The warmth of the wood against the soft taupe finish creates a layered, relaxed look that feels effortlessly refined.

Not only is this piece beautiful, it’s incredibly practical too. Featuring two spacious cupboards with shelving, three generous drawers, and a top drawer relined in luxurious green felt, it offers versatile storage as either a sideboard, console, or drinks cabinet. Finished with antique brass drop handles for that final touch of understated elegance.

What makes this piece even more special is its history. Originally crafted by F.A. Watts & Co of Kettering, renowned makers of high-quality ecclesiastical furniture. The original maker’s label still remains inside the door, preserving a little piece of its story.

We’ve sympathetically refurbished and restored this piece to highlight its original beauty:

From dark, dowdy and forgotten… to this!!

This court cupboard had good bones, but it was lost under years of tired finish and zero love. The kind of piece most people would walk straight past.

We saw the potential …

Soft sage tones, stripped-back wood, and all those beautiful carved details brought back to life… now it’s a statement piece instead of an afterthought.

This one has already found its new home (not surprised 😏) but we’ve got plenty more transformations waiting.
