I started making ogham sets in the 1990's and since then have made thousands that have gone all around the world. I've lost count of the corresponding ogham sets I've made now (description below) but again, it's lots.
Spirit of Old "Tree Speak" Ogham sets: At Spirit of Old we specialise in ogham and Celtic tree calendar sets, each ogham character handcrafted from its corresponding wood, shrub and plant type. The materials used are gathered with utmost respect and care, and this is paramount to what we do. (I really don't want to p**s the spirits off!) We don't just use any old bits of wood for our sets either, it has to have meaning and purpose - after all, if it's going to be used for divination it has to have meaning, it has to have soul!

There are several variations on material and character types and so far we've been able to accommodate these for custom divination sets 🙂
Each set contains the original 20 corresponding ogham staves, handcrafted from its corresponding wood, shrub and plant type.

What makes these ogham sets different from any others that you could buy? The materials for these sets are respectfully gathered from some of the most revered spiritual and religious locations in southern Britain.
These sets are made and born in the heart of Wessex. Some of the places I wander around the woods here have ancient barrows on boundaries from times long past. The bits of woodland with the Wyrd in them. Nature's fury sometimes places ogham material in my path at these special locations for me to use. I feel that wood growing where the ancestors lay is an excellent choice for divination sets, and when the materials are given so freely, even more so.
We also use wind-fallen and dead standing wood from places like Avebury, Silbury, West Kennet, Stonehenge, and Glastonbury to name some. Of course, most of the material is gathered from around the very near areas of these places so as to avoid any impact. Always foraged with thought and respect to the land and its inhabitants though. If I get any weird vibes about a piece of wood, I leave it. Always.
