Yesterday, I spent a fantastic day at Decorex at Olympia, London, soaking up inspiration from the world of interiors.

From beautiful fabrics, wallpapers and lighting to decorative finishes and furniture, there was so much to see and discover. I loved exploring the exhibitors, gathering ideas and hearing fresh perspectives from the Design Talks.

One of the best parts of the day was meeting up with everyone from the Interior Designers Hub. It was lovely to put faces to names, share experiences and connect with others who are just as passionate about interior design.

I came away feeling inspired, with lots of ideas to reflect on and new connections to nurture. Days like these are a wonderful reminder of how thoughtful design, craftsmanship and creativity can transform the way we live in our homes.

What a lovely weekend of interiors, inspiration and beautiful craftsmanship!

I’ve just spent the weekend at the Isle of Wight Homes & Interiors Show at East Afton Farmhouse, and it was the perfect setting for a celebration of all things home.

I was delighted to be there with my lovely friend and fellow interior designer, Chantel, who is based on the island and someone I’m lucky enough to collaborate with regularly.

There was so much to discover from beautiful decorative pieces, carpets and photography to sewing workshops, glass, window treatments and lots of talented independent makers. It felt less like a traditional interiors show and more like a celebration of craftsmanship, individuality and character full of those special pieces and ideas that can make a house feel like a home.

I came away feeling inspired, with lots of ideas and, inevitably, a rather long wish list!

Thinking about your own home?

Whether you’re refreshing a room or planning a larger renovation, I’d love to help you create a space that feels beautiful, timeless and completely personal to you.

☀️ DESIGN EXPERIMENT ☀️
As we continue through this heatwave, I’d love to know something…
Take a look at the two mood boards I’ve shared.
One is inspired by sunshine, warmth and energy, with vibrant colours, rich textures and golden accents.
The other uses cooler blues, soft greens, pale woods and calming materials designed to create a more tranquil atmosphere.
Now ask yourself:
✨ Which one would you rather sit in today?
✨ Which one makes you feel more comfortable?
✨ How does each image make you feel?
It’s fascinating how colours and materials can affect our emotions. The warm scheme feels energetic, vibrant and uplifting, while the cool scheme feels calm, fresh and relaxing.
Neither is right or wrong but our response to them can tell us a lot about how we experience our homes.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

👇 Tell me in the comments:
Are you Team Warm or Team Cool?
And what emotions do the images create for you?

This week I visited WOW!house 2026 at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre and came away feeling inspired by the incredible focus on sensory design. Throughout the house, designers explored the power of lighting, texture and craftsmanship to create spaces that evoke emotion and enhance wellbeing.

My standout room was the Garden Folly Room, entered through a beautiful façade designed by Wi******er's own Adam Architecture. The rich red colour palette, layered textiles, intricate trims and playful tassels created a space that was both dramatic and welcoming. It was a wonderful example of how thoughtful design can create an immersive experience and leave a lasting impression.

Which room in your home would you most like to transform? I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments. If you're considering a redesign, renovation or simply need some inspiration, feel free to get in touch to discuss how we can create a home that reflects your style and the way you want to live.

The May bank holidays are almost here and if you're anything like us, that's when you suddenly notice every corner of the house that's been quietly ignored since January.

The good news? You don't need a full refresh. A few considered changes make an enormous difference. In the guest room, start with fresh linen, a clear surface or two, and a decent bedside light, it transforms a space from "spare room" to somewhere a guest actually feels welcome. In the living areas, think about where people will naturally gather and whether the seating works for a group. And don't overlook the garden: clean furniture, some comfortable outdoor cushions, and a string of lights can turn an evening into something genuinely lovely.

The bank holiday weekend is one of the rare occasions when every part of your home gets used at once. It's worth making sure all of it is ready.

Which room do you always end up tackling at the last minute?

Every April, the ritual begins. Bags filled, cupboards cleared, surfaces polished to a shine. And yet something still feels off.

That's because spring cleaning addresses what's accumulated. It doesn't address what's missing.

A truly considered home isn't just tidy. It's intentional. The quality of afternoon light, the way furniture sits in a room, the balance of texture and tone, none of that shifts when you reach for the mop.

Spring is the perfect moment to look at your home with fresh eyes. Not to clean it but to question it.

Explore what a considered refresh could do for your space.

Several months away from my own studio has given me more than I expected.

There's something quietly humbling about working for someone else again.

For the past little while, I've been working alongside another designer, stepping away from running my own studio to immerse myself in larger, more complex projects than I'd typically take on alone. It was a deliberate decision, and honestly, one of the best I've made.

Collaborating at that award winning level teaches you things that solo practice simply can't. A different eye on a space. A different instinct for materials. A different way of holding a client's vision when the brief is vast and the stakes are high. I came away with a sharper mind and a renewed love for what this work actually is.

The studio is back, and I'm genuinely excited about what comes next.

I'd love to know, have any of you ever stepped back from something you love in order to come back to it better? There's real wisdom in that pause.
