🧶 Join Us for the Freedom Bridge Poppy Display Project! 🌺
Calling all knitters, crocheters, and crafters! Linda’s Wool 'N' Yarn Shop is hosting a special project during our Saturday Knit & Natter group to create a stunning poppy display for the Freedom Bridge this Remembrance Day.
Whether you can stitch a couple of poppies or a whole basketful, every single one helps build a beautiful tribute for our community.
When: Every Saturday during Knit & Natter
Where: Linda’s Wool 'N' Yarn Shop
Who: Everyone is welcome—from beginners to seasoned pros!
Ready-made poppies are available in-store. If you can't stay for the full session, feel free to drop off completed poppies at the shop anytime.

Thursday’s Knit and Natter was the ultimate cozy reset! 🧵✨
There is something truly special about taking a break mid-week to slow down, pull up a chair, and enjoy good company. Whether you were working on a intricate blanket project, fixing a dropped stitch, or just starting out with your very first cast-on, every needle and hook brought its own story to the table today.
The room was full of bright yarns, endless laughter, and plenty of warm brew. The "natter" side of the table was just as busy as the "knit" side—we covered everything from favorite stitch patterns and project ideas to local gossip and weekend plans.

Project Freedom Bridge: A Community Tribute of Remembrance 🌺🇬🇧
As Remembrance Day approaches, our community comes together in a powerful display of unity, creativity, and profound respect.
The incredible Project Freedom Bridge poppy display is taking shape, thanks to the sheer dedication of local yarnbombers, volunteers, and supporters—including the wonderful teams at Linda’s Wool N Yarn Shop and the local crafting community who have poured hours of work into knitting, crocheting, and assembling panels of cascading red poppies.
On display across the Freedom Bridge from the 1st of November, this stunning community tribute serves as a striking visual reminder of the sacrifices made by servicemen and women. It's more than just yarn and netting; it is a collective expression of gratitude from Wisbech and the surrounding areas, ensuring that those who gave everything are never forgotten.
A massive thank you to everyone who has picked up a pair of needles, donated wool, helped construct the panels, or given their time during the workshops. Your hard work truly does the town proud.
