Kieran Dolan has been fitting windows and doors since 2008, following in the footsteps of his father Jim, who fitted his first hand-built sash and case window in 1978. That experience continues to shape how we work today. Kieran is personally involved in every survey, every quotation, and every installation, ensuring everything is done properly from start to finish. Kieran is a fully qualified joiner with advanced craft training and HNC Construction, and is a Velux Certified and VEKA Approved installer. There are no salespeople and no pressure. Just honest advice based on what works best for your home. All quotations are carried out through a short home visit, where you can see product samples and options in a relaxed setting. We work with a small team of trusted, long-standing colleagues, allowing us to maintain high standards across every job. We take pride in doing things properly and making the process simple for our customers.

The past couple of days have been spent in Scotland attending the VELUX VIP Partner Programme!

A fantastic opportunity to visit the VELUX head office in Glenrothes, take part in some valuable training and discussions, and gain further insight into their products and expertise.

We also enjoyed some time in Edinburgh, with a lovely evening of food, networking and entertainment.

A big thank you to the VELUX team for the invitation and hospitality. It’s always great to continue learning, building relationships and bringing that knowledge back into the work we do.

From rotten and worn to fresh, secure and built to last. 👏

For this job, the existing porch windows and door had deteriorated significantly and were ready for replacement.

The challenge? Keeping the existing roof completely intact.

We carefully removed the old frames and replaced the windows and door without disturbing the roof at all, giving the porch a complete refresh while working with the structure that was already there.

The difference is huge, brighter, cleaner and a much smarter finish. 👌

👉 Swipe right to the very end to see what we started with!

Most homeowners focus on the windows… but very few think about the quality of the installation itself. 👀

You can invest in great windows, but if they aren’t measured, fitted and sealed correctly, you could still end up dealing with draughts, heat loss and problems further down the line.

That’s why who fits your windows matters just as much as the windows you choose.

At Dolan Windows & Doors, you deal directly with experienced installers, no salesmen, no pressure and honest advice about what your home actually needs.

What a difference a new front door can make. 👏

For this home, we replaced the existing door with a Palladio composite door, finished in Agate Grey externally, giving the entrance a much cleaner, more modern look while still complementing the character of the property.

It’s not just about appearance either. A quality composite door can make a real difference to security, insulation and everyday performance.

Swipe to see the before → the transformation speaks for itself!

Thinking about upgrading your front door? We offer honest, installer-led advice with no pushy salesmen and no pressure.

Winter has a way of highlighting every little problem with your windows and doors… but you don’t need to wait until the cold weather arrives to do something about it. 🏡

Draughts, sticking frames, misted glass or a door that just doesn’t feel quite right? Getting it checked now could save you a lot of hassle later.

And importantly, replacement isn’t always the answer.

If a repair will do the job, we’ll tell you. If it’s time for something new, we’ll talk you through your options with honest, installer-led advice, no salesmen and no pressure.

Another full window and door upgrade completed. 🏡

For this property, we replaced all of the existing windows with VEKA M70 frames, alongside a modern uPVC panel door finished with marine-grade stainless steel trims.

The customer opted for Golden Oak externally, giving the property a warm, traditional finish from the outside, while keeping the frames crisp white internally for a clean, bright look inside the home.

A great example of how you don’t have to choose the same finish inside and out to get the look you want.
