Nine months into the year and I actually (started and) finished something!

My Westmont Shawl is awaiting a soak and block before I pack it away for my trip.
I used Spiced Cucumber and Trixie & Lula from LeFrances Handmade Crafts & Fibre Art and that super cute colour that makes up the last few rows is Sea & Sand by .

Thanks to Toni Toni | Crochet Inspo & Design 💕 for a nice, simple pattern; I’ve really enjoyed making this and I’ll definitely make it again!

Shout out to Iman ★ for these throwback photos from. EIGHT years ago!

This was my first ever event, Timbuktu African Market, hosted by ACCI Wolverhampton.

I was a fairly new crocheter and had a stash of hats, scarves, shawls and cowls on sale!
My maker moniker was OffTheHook.FLYY back then and I rocked the baddest blonde Frohawk/crop…
It’s good to look back and see where I’ve come from in this here …and to think I had a “f**k it, I quit” moment a few days ago…

Oh well.
I am the Queen of keeping it moving, as well as the , so let me adjust my crown as I get ready for this weekend’s event!

I’ve mostly been indoors during this heatwave, but this weekend I’ll be OUTSIDE (literally) at the next Makers Market Midlands event at Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley!

I’ll be bringing delicious yarn, fibre and other useful things for all you wonderful stitchers!
The forecasts are saying there’ll be much cooler temps and rain, but don’t let that stop you coming out, treating yourself and taking part in some of the great events in the area during the Celebration of Glass Festival!

I’m determined to actually start and finish something this year, so I frogged a knit shawl that I had got quite a way through, and decided to start the Westmont Shawl by Toni | Crochet Inspo & Design 💕.

This yarn is an OG from my girl Frances LeFrances Handmade Crafts & Fibre Art - Trixie and Lula is so beautiful and I can’t wait to finish this skein and see what the next colour looks like with it!
