The Kelpies are coming on Friday 16th October! ❤️
I've had a few folk asking about yarn quantities, so here's what you'll need if you fancy getting organised before release day!
The finished blanket measures approximately 104cm x 134cm (41" x 53"), including the double border.
I've used Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze DK Prints for the background and Yarnsmiths Create DK for the Kelpies design.
TWO COLOUR VERSION
Colour A (Background): 4 × 150g Pebble Haze DK Prints (1467m used)
Colour B (Pattern): 5 × 100g Create DK (1337m used)
THREE COLOUR VERSION
Colour A (Background): 2 × 150g Pebble Haze DK Prints (719m used)
Colour B (Pattern): 5 × 100g Create DK (1027m used)
Colour C (Background): 3 × 150g Pebble Haze DK Prints (1059m used)
For the three colour version, you simply change your background from Colour A to Colour C at row 95.
The metreage shown is what I used for my blankets, including the double border. The recommended number of skeins and balls includes extra yarn to allow for differences in tension.
You can also choose to work your double border entirely in Colour B or use all three colours. The recommended yarn quantities allow for either option!
And if you'd rather not faff about choosing yarn, I've been working with the lovely folk at Wool Warehouse, who'll have yarn packs available in several different colourways with everything you need!
