The business is now in its 14th year and I have to say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeking out the products and curating this wonderfully soulful website. My passion for interiors has developed over many years and kind of arrived by accident. I just loved creating a beautiful home for my family. Yes, I’m intense when it comes to getting it right – the soft furnishings and interior accessories must wor
k together along with the exact tone of paint colour! I love being eclectic, for me it just works; textures/posh with casual/colour popping/rustic living – we live in the countryside so muddy feet and paws, sporty kids and wet dogs had to be catered for. What I put together just worked and once done I was happy – we were all happy – busy lives but relaxed living and once a room was finished that was it, it wasn’t going to be re-done for a while! What happened next was a natural next step; friends and family that visited loved our home – it was inviting, warm and a comfy place to be in. I’d created a soulful home made with lots of love and thought. Somewhere that was lived-in with beautiful pieces – old and new, it didn’t matter. What I did know is that the design was for keeps. People loved how it was furnished, always asking me where did I get this and that. After some time, it was more than apparent that there was a business in this and MOTTA LIVING was born. mamotta
