Here’s a little bit about me — the maker behind the melts!
Hey lovelies! 👋
I thought I’d do a little introduction post as we’ve had lots of lovely new members join — so I wanted to put a face behind Mama Jan’s Aroma’s 💕
My name’s Dawn, and I’m a full-time mummy to three absolutely incredible children — two boys and one girl 🩵🩷🩵
I worked with children for 22 years in various settings, but after having my third, I decided to take a step back from work and focus on being a mummy full-time 👩👧👦
💔 In June 2024, my world was turned upside down when I lost my mum very suddenly. My mum was such a huge part of our lives, and I wanted to do something in her memory — something with meaning. That’s when Mama Jan’s Aroma’s was born in September 2024, not just to keep me busy, but also to help me heal and honour her memory.
I’ve always loved anything that makes your home smell beautiful — wax melts, candles, cleaning products, you name it! Before and during Covid, I worked with a couple of wax melt companies, but they sadly closed a few years ago, so I took a break from selling.
My mum, Janet, shared my love for wax melts. We were always swapping fragrance recommendations and trying new scents together. So when she passed, I knew I wanted to do something that connected me to her — and that’s where the name Mama Jan’s Aroma’s came from 💕
I completely dived in at the deep end, spent far too much on stock 🙈 not even knowing if it would work out… and oh my goodness, I couldn’t have been more wrong! The support I’ve had from all of you has been absolutely overwhelming — the orders, the messages, and the friendships I’ve made along the way mean the world to me 🥹💖
I’ve got so many exciting ideas for the future of Mama Jan’s Aroma’s — new products, new fragrances, and some completely unique items that will make my little business stand out from the crowd! 💪🏼✨
The wax melt world might be busy and full, but I’m so thankful that you chose to support me on this journey. I honestly can’t wait to share what’s coming next with you all! 😘
