It's not long now until we celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

From now until June 12th you can take part in our Queens jubilee Story Trail. Seven whimsical characters – including Sir Barnaby Beacon are hidden at locations across the Town. At each stop there will be a QR code that, once scanned, will guide participants through the history of The Queen’s 70-year reign; and by the magic of AR you will also see the characters come to life.

Why not take a selfie for us while on the trail, and pop it on social media with the hashtag , for a chance to win a £20 Worthing Gift card. (judges will pick the best pic !)

Over the last few years, HMCoastguard has launched countless searches after watersports equipment is found washed up on the shore with no obvious owner. Equipment such as; windsurf boards, kites, kiteboards, and most recently, wingsurf sails and foilboards.

We don’t know if there is someone in need of our help, so we go looking

By simply writing a mobile number with permanent ink, or placing a waterproof sticker somewhere on each part of your equipment, all it could take is one phone call to confirm that everyone is safe and well.

✔️ Watersports equipment is expensive, save yourself money by labelling your kit and making it more likely that you will see it again.
✔️ Help us to quickly check that you are safe and well, and avoid a needless search where our volunteers are put into potentially hazardous situations.
✔️ Ensure that we are free to respond to other emergencies.

And remember, if you ever find yourself in trouble at our coasts, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
