My sewing room has been taken over by hares this week and am busy rounding them up and making them into garlands. I have lost count of how many hares I have made over the last year or so since I started making them but they always seem to hop off my stall at craft fayres!

I haven't been able to sew yet this week as had a small operation under GA which left me a bit woosy for a couple of day...

I haven't been able to sew yet this week as had a small operation under GA which left me a bit woosy for a couple of days and didn't trust myself not to sew through my thumb - still have flash backs to when I did this post night shift! Well and truly learnt my lesson! But I have trusted myself with scissors and so am busy restocking my hare bunting on this beautiful felt that arrived from The Cotton Patch this week.
Right, wish my fingers luck am going to give sewing a go!

Well, I had an absolute ball Carry on Crafting Festival last weekend! Met so many lovely people including Talia Spells & Spindles - so lovely to meet you in person!!!! Philippa - you are looking so well. Janet Janet Felix - we seem to be CoC stall buddies and maggie & Sophie and Nikki from MoJo Craft Creations As well as past customers that I have either met in person before or only communicated online - so nice to put faces to names. Am already looking forward to next year! 🧡

Right better get back to sewing to replenish my stock including the dreaded lampshades 🤣

Whoop whoop! It's Carry on Crafting Festival this weekend - my favourite weekend of the year!

Have finished packing up my stall this morning ready to head to the South of England Show Ground at Ardingly, including these two new designs made especially for the show. Have also packed some ice blocks and a fan as it might be a tad warm!

Here's to a lovely weekend whatever you are up to. And if you are coming to the festival, I'm in Vera marquee - it would be lovely to see you 🩷

Is it just a little bit sad that on my hubby receiving a Fortnum & Mason wine hamper, my first thought was 'ooo lovely wicker basket, mmmm how can I use that?'

Although it was closely followed by 'mmm lovely wine!' - but that was very much an afterthought...

Well it turns out it is a perfect way to display my new crochet hook rolls. I made myself one last year and it proved so useful, I have made some for Folksy & craftshows. Each roll has eight pockets for crochet hooks, a couple of wider pockets for small scissors or a tape measure, a poppered pouch for buttons, a ring to clip stitch markers to and two felt pages for needles to sew those pesky ends in! All rolling up to a roll measuring 18x9cm. 🧡

Phew lampshades are finished! Always find making them up so stressful as it's so easy to mess it all up at the last minute. The ones that were that were commissioned are safely in their new home. These are two are for my big weekend .festival 🩷 Really looking forward to showing there again in July. Can thoroughly recommend it for all you crafty types!

Little test pieces for some lampshades I'm working on. Must admit I find making lampshades a bit stressful. You can put so much work into them only to totally mess it up at the last minute by not cutting it quite right to allow for the turned up edges .... hence I now have a nearly headless seagul pen pot on my work bench which was originally supposed to be a tea light holder 🤣

After a couple of weeks getting away from it all travelling round the far East, I am back in my sewing room this week using some of my favourite fabrics to make craft room caddies.

I made myself one to hold my scissors (of which I have far too many pairs!) a few years ago and have been meaning to make some to sell ever since - not sure I will be making them again as they were ruddy fiddly to make 🤣
