Meissen porcelain Harbour scenecup & saucer, c. 1740.

Meissen porcelain cup and saucer, c. 1740. The cup having an elaborate scroll shaped handle, and finely painted with a continuous view of figures in a rural harbour scene, above a red band, and beneath a gilt rim.
The saucer similarly painted with figures before a town in a landscape, within a large roundel, and having a gilt rim.
Underglaze crossed swords marks to both pieces.
Height of cup – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.
Diameter of saucer – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Condition – very minor wear to the enamel. No damage. No restoration.

Mamluk revival brass Quran casket, Damascus, c. 1900. Inlaid in silver and copper, with Quranic inscriptions, in thuluth script, amongst elaborate floral scroll, to both the casket and the lid.
The interior lined in wood.
Width – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Depth – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Height – 9 cm, 3 1/2”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No repair.

Kashmiri metal Kang shaped teapot, India, c. 1900. The tilted teapot, heavily decorated with snake panels, containing floral scroll, on a dense ground of further floral scroll, repeated on the spout.
The body of the teapot is wrapped with two further heavily cast snakes, and has a snake handle.
Having a hinged spout, similarly decorated, and having a large teardrop finial.
Height – 16.5 cm, 6 1/2”.
Width – 25 cm, 9 3/4”.
Depth – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Condition – Typical slight wear to the silvering.

Meissen porcelain dog, c. 1920. The playful dog, after a model by J.J. Kaendler, modelled holding a bone in his mouth. Painted with black spots, and wearing a green collar, the dog stands upon an oval shaped base.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark, and impressed model numbers.
Length – 5 cm, 2”.
Height – 4.3 cm, 1 3/4”.
Depth – 2 cm, 3/4”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.

Komai style vesta case, Japan, c. 1900, Meiji Period. The iron case typically decorated in gold and silver inlay, with a shaped panel containing a peacock perched in a tree, the reverse with boats on a river, before Mount Fuji. All on a dense gold leaf decorated ground.
Height – 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.
Width – 4 cm, 1 5/8”.
Depth – 0.7 cm, 3/8”.
Condition – No damage. No repair.

Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover, c. 1880, Qing Dynasty. The globular jar, hand painted in famille verte enamels, with birds amongst flowering peony, and rocks, above a continuous lappet motif.
The domed cover, similarly decorated.
Four character mark in iron red enamel to the base.
Height – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.
Diameter – 19.5 cm, 7 3/4”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.

Bilston enamel box, Staffordshire, c. 1770. The large box the cover hand painted with a romanticised rural scene of a shepherd seated before Classical ruins in a river landscape. He plays his pipe, whilst accompanied by cattle, within a white enamelled scroll panel, upon a lilac ground.
The sides of the box, similarly decorated with panels of sheep, a pony and a goat.
Having hinged gilt metal mounts.
Width – 9 cm, 3 1/2”.
Depth – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Height – 3.8 cm, 1 1/2”.
Condition – Typical crack to the cover, and minute chips to the rim of the box, but in overall excellent condition. No restoration.
