Are you looking for a gift for the knitter or crocheter in your life, or want some yarn to keep you occupied over the Christmas holidays? This hand-dyed merino, silk and cashmere sock-weight yarn is now on the website (link in bio). Slightly thinner than 4-ply, it feels luxurious and has lovely drape so would make a beautiful scarf or hat if you don't like knitting socks. Order before Wednesday 17th December to receive this in time for Christmas.

We had a busy weekend at Friday and Saturday's craft fair hosted by - we met some lovely people and the horrible weather on Friday didn't put people off. This was our last craft fair of the year, but you can still find our products at the All Wrapped Up event until 4th January. Some of our Fair Isle hats, hand-knitted gloves and woven scarves are down there and we will be keeping them supplied all through December.

On our website we have some new ribbed beanie hats, all knitted from our own hand-spun yarn. These are very forgiving and will stretch to fit most heads, even mine!

There is still time to order in time for Christmas - order before Wednesday 17th December to be sure of receiving any gifts before Christmas.

This hat has just been cast off and will be washed ready for the Christmas craft market at Old Tannery Studios this Friday 5th and Saturday 6th December. I am wondering how many more I can make in the next couple of days!

I started this post this morning, then got distracted by lots of friendly people who were interested in our yarn, hats and gloves. We were at Lytes Cary NT today with lots of other talented craftspeople. Thank you to Katherine and the team for all their hard work organising these events - it is probably the best craft fair we do. Looking forward to coming back in 2026.

Our next fair will be 5th - 6th December at Old Tannery Studios where we will have more of our hats, gloves and yarn for you.

This hat is currently on my needles. It isn't likely to be finished in time for tomorrow's craft fair at Lytes Cary Manor, but will be available from us at the Old Tannery Studios Christmas artisan market in a couple of weeks. Having said that, the weather is so horrible today I might just stay in and knit!

We are looking forward to seeing you at Lytes Cary NT on Sunday 23rd November, where we will have hats, gloves, scarves and socks just in time for the cold weather.

Held in the historic barns and courtyard areas. The Lytes Cary market showcases a variety of products that have been crafted by neighbouring artists. Entry is free to the market, although normal admission applies if you'd like to visit the house, garden, tea-room or estate.

Just in time for your Christmas makes we have added some washed natural Bluefaced Leicester curls and some green-mix curls to the Fleece and Fibres section of the website. Be quick though, there aren't many packets!

We have been a bit quiet this year due to health reasons and an unfortunate lack of craft fairs. Those we have been booked on have fallen victim of the unusually bad weather events that have punctuated the heat of this summer, so we have been finding other ways of getting our finished products out to people. More about that later.

For now I can tempt you with 20g bags of mixed curls after I found a large box of them in the attic. Don't worry, they were sealed and moth-proofed so are in great condition. This box was full of Bluefaced Leicester, Wensleydale and a few Teeswater curls that weren't good enough to go into the 10g bags, largely because they were a bit felted, or weren't quite curly enough. There were some lovely curls in the box that had a bit more vegetation matter in than I could pick out for the 10g bags. I spent an enjoyable afternoon watching the rain and stuffing random handfuls of curls into bags, which you can now find on the website (link in bio). They are reasonably priced as I would quite like to make some room for washing more fleece, something I should have done in the summer!
