🧢 Hats in Stock! 🧢
I've been busy knitting and these are the hats I currently have available at Trash Panda Eco Crafts!

πŸ’š All handmade
πŸ’š All vegan
πŸ’š Unlined
πŸ’š Great for wild swimmers, walkers, campers and anyone who likes to keep cosy outdoors

Most of the hats are medium adult size, apart from: 🦊 The adorable Fox Hat which is a child's size 🌈 The bright pink/rainbow hat which is a larger size

Prices vary between hats, so feel free to message me if there's one you have your eye on.
I'm also planning to experiment with making some winter versions lined with rescued fleece from old fleeces and clothing, giving unwanted textiles a second life while making them extra warm for the colder months. ♻️

Which one is your favourite? I'm torn between the purple one and the little fox! πŸ¦ŠπŸ’œ

Following on from our post about being eco-friendly, here's another way we try to reduce our impact on the planet – by shopping second-hand, supporting local businesses, and walking where we can! πŸŒπŸ’š

Today we walked into our local town and enjoyed a lovely low-impact morning out. We picked up some locally made chocolate (vegan, of course! 🍫🌱), browsed the second-hand book sale at the Tourist Information Centre, and came away with some fantastic finds from the charity shop.

Among our bargains were a Vegan Life book and a Green Living book – always happy to find a bit of inspiration! We also picked up some card-making blanks that we'll be transforming into handmade greetings cards for our stall.

On the way home, we popped in to see family too. No car needed today – just a good walk, some fresh air, and a reminder that living more sustainably doesn't have to be complicated. Small choices really do add up. ♻️

How do you like to shop sustainably? We'd love to hear your ideas!

πŸŒβ™»οΈ What does being eco-friendly mean to us at Trash Panda Eco Crafts? β™»οΈπŸŒ

It's much more than just what we make – it's how we try to live our lives.

One of our favourite places to visit is our local car boot sale. We love that so many people bring along items from a clear-out rather than sending them straight to landfill. Sadly, we know that not everything finds a new home, but every item rescued and reused is a small win.

Today's treasures included some yarn (which we have checked is suitable for vegans!), an A4 journal to fabric sculpt (I'm thinking a sea theme πŸ§œβ€β™‚οΈ) and a huge pile of small paper bags. The grey yarn is already destined to become badgers 🦑and raccoons 🦝, while the green might just become a baby top or maybe a cactus πŸ€”. As for the bags... well, there are enough to keep us going for quite some time! Thankfully, Trash Panda HQ has room to store them.

Being eco-friendly is the driving force behind everything we do. We try not to buy new if we can help it, whether that's for our crafts or in our everyday lives. When we do need to buy something new, we take the time to research the most ethical and environmentally responsible option we can find.

For us, it's about living a considerate and compassionate life. We know we won't get everything perfect, but we believe that small choices, made consistently, can make a real difference.

Thank you to everyone who supports our little business and shares our belief that treasure can be found in the things others no longer want. πŸΌβ™»οΈ

Now, I'm off to plant those three trays of Mesembryanthemums I got for Β£2.25!!!

TOMORROW! Such a lovely gentle, thoughtful, green day πŸ’š. Prepare for kindness and inspiration! Come see our stall and see if you can work out what our stuff is made from (I'll give you some clues - there's some old dishcloths, broken pots, bottle tops, old nail varnish, sea 'treasure', gathered up glitter and leftover yarn to name a few! Remember we are completely vegan so if you are too, you can shop without worry πŸ’œ

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that Trash Panda Eco Crafts will be trading at Festival of Thrift on 4th & 5th July at Kirkleatham, Redcar! β™»οΈβœ¨

It's such an honour to be included in a festival that celebrates creativity, sustainability and finding new ways to live lightly on our planet. You'll find us in the Marketplace alongside an amazing selection of makers, artists and eco-conscious traders.

We'll be bringing our usual collection of recycled treasures, including our fabric-sculpted journals, fairy houses, horns, brooches, vegan knitted goodies and lots more weird and wonderful creations made from rescued, reclaimed and upcycled materials. As always, nothing gets thrown away if we can give it a second life! β™»οΈπŸ¦

If you're coming to the festival, please pop by and say hello. We love chatting about crafts, upcycling and all things thrifty!

See you there!

Yesterday's Eco Fair in Darlington was brilliant, but today is definitely a tea, sofa and recharge kind of day! β˜•πŸ¦πŸ’š

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Trash Panda Eco Crafts stall, had a chat, adopted some recycled treasures, or supported the event. It was lovely to meet so many people who care about creativity, sustainability and giving old materials a new life.

While I'm enjoying a well-earned rest today, I'm already getting excited for the next outing!
