Meet my newest, little apprentice - my youngest nephew, joining us out in the flower field as we plant out some hardy annuals! 💚

There’s something so special about sharing the world of flower farming with the next generation. Teaching them that flowers don’t just magically appear in a bucket or a vase, but start with a seed, a little soil, plenty of care, and a whole lot of patience. 🌱

It’s about more than growing flowers, too. It’s about learning to respect nature, looking after the bees and pollinators, understanding the seasons, getting our hands dirty, and appreciating all the little things that make our natural world so wonderful. 🐝

Here’s to muddy boots, curious minds, little helpers, and nurturing a love for nature that will hopefully bloom for years to come. Even if my job list takes a little longer to complete! ❤️

We’re delighted to be returning to Heppni Bakeri for our annual Christmas wreath-making class! 🧡

Join us on Friday 27th November, 6:30–8:30pm, where you’ll create your very own beautiful, luxury wreath to enjoy throughout the festive season.

Your evening includes a glass of fizz (or a hot drink) and a delicious festive treat. 🥂 🍪

£75 per person, including a £25 deposit to secure your place.

Come and join us for one of our fun, festive workshops where you will create your own beautiful Christmas wreath to adorn your door. 🌿🎄

Using high-quality, seasonal foliage and a selection of festive decorations, you’ll be guided through the process and create a wreath to take home and enjoy throughout the Christmas season.

We’re delighted to be returning to the lovely Whiteley’s Home Farm Café in Alne, where your workshop will also include a delicious homemade treat and a hot drink. ☕️🍰

It’s been an exciting day here at Mayfield Farm Flowers! 💚🌿

I’m now the very proud owner of a VAN! 🚐🥳

A huge thank you to York Van Centre for being amazing and helping us get our new wheels all kitted out. And a special thank you to Chris Kay for all your help throughout the process - we really appreciate it! 💚

This van is going to make such a difference to Mayfield Farm Flowers. It’ll make delivering our flowers so much easier, giving us more space and making those flower-filled journeys a whole lot smoother! 🌸💐

Here’s to lots of happy miles, plenty of flowers and exciting adventures ahead! 🚐🌷✨

For Emma 🩷

This bouquet was full of flowers grown lovingly on the farm with a few additions grown by Emma’s mum, Anne, which was such a special touch! ✨

This was early on the morning of the wedding, everything was calm and the sky was glorious ahead of a beautiful day for Emma and Will!

A flower farm is about more than growing beautiful blooms. It’s also about the people, choices and care behind them.

Over time, I’ve realised there are five things that guide how I grow, work and make decisions on the farm.

It’s time to start training the next apprentice! 💙

Turns out carrying a 10kg+ baby on your front and trying to bend to cut flowers is not that easy!!

He did enjoy trying to grab each flower I tried to cut. Safe to say I did not manage to get the order cut whilst I was looking after him!
