ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME…!!
Finally got some more canvases and started painting again today. Little break from the pencil work is always a great idea and I love getting a bit of colour out now and again. First layer of block colours ready to start adding a little bit of detail.

Why have I been absent for so long? Let me explain …

Last year turned out to be a little manic. Firstly, I got married to my husband and so I took a bit of time away to soak in the whole day and to enjoy the married life afterwards. It has honestly all been a blur - but I have loved every second 🥰
The next reason did come slightly more unexpectedly… in the fact that we are expecting our first child so you can imagine we have both been in quite the bubble whilst we prepare for such a big change. Again - a bit of a blur!!

HOWEVER - as you can see I am still very much still drawing, just a lot slower than what I was but I hope to get back on the horse as such and get as much done as I can so here is to seeing more of my art!!!

What a whirlwind…

It has been a crazy month or so (but I have LOVED it!) and I thought it was best to have a break from the art to make sure I fully enjoyed myself.

From tying the knot to tackling on the field, my life’s a rom-com with a bit of rugby roughness. ❤️🏉✈️

I’m hoping after the weekend (of being away again 🤭) I can then get back to focusing on some art in the hope I can actually attend some markets next year.

What a HOOT it was drawing him! I must admit I am really enjoying drawing at the moment and I feel like my skill is slowly becoming more refined.

What you might not know is that I have never learnt to draw, I never took it as a GCSE or at Uni, I’ve never been taught to draw or anything - just pure interest. All my learning is done through making mistakes and feedback from others. So if anyone ever says they can’t draw - YOU CAN DRAW because I use to be one of those people!!

I asked the question the other day as to what animal I should paint onto the blue background, and with a variety of answers I went with something that I haven’t painted yet - a cute little donkey with some flowers in her hair 🌺

NEW COLOURING BECOMING AVAILABLE …

As the days are drawing out and becoming longer I thought I would do a couple of new colouring sheets to add to my current collection, particularly as the birds are beginning to chirp 🐥
