Because by then, you can be working backwards — making decisions based on what’s already been built.

1. Lighting 💡
Think about how you’ll use the room, not just where the pretty lights go.

2. Sockets 🔌
Plan them around your furniture and how you’ll actually use the space.

3. Furniture 📐
Your layout affects sockets, lighting, heating, cabinetry and even doors.

4. Heating 🔥
Radiators and towel rails need to work with your layout, not dictate it.

5. Storage 🗄️
Design storage around what you actually need to store and how you live.

Good design starts long before you choose the pretty things.

• furniture placement
• sight lines
• natural light
• storage
• how the room actually needs to function

Because sometimes the answer isn’t buying more.
It’s making better use of what you already have.

Getting the layout right before you spend can save you costly mistakes later — and help your home feel considered, practical and right for you.
