Working at many venues around the UK, I can turn my secateurs to most spaces from country house hotels and marquees to quirky industrial barns. There isn’t a “one size fits all” when it comes to the design process, every style is unique and most couples that I work with are looking for something a little different in order to let the blooms reflect their personalities. Being Highly Commended at The Wedding Industry Awards last year was such an honour - not just for the flowers, but for the experience I strive to create for my couples.

I’ve never been about mass production or carbon-copy designs. I intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every single couple my time, full creative energy, and absolute dedication.

To me, the end result will always be beautiful - but how you feel getting there matters just as much.

I value total honesty, transparency, and creating a calm, seamless planning space where you feel completely supported from start to finish. We get to know each other, figure out what truly matters to you, and build something entirely unique to your story.

And because I’m a sentimental soul at heart, I’ve expanded into floral preservation. Now, those bespoke florals we dreamed up together don’t end when the music stops, they get transformed into modern, lasting art pieces for your home.

This week's floral workshop was beautiful ❤️.

Absolutely beautiful flowers from a celebration of British flowers and foam free techniques.

Fi from went above and beyond to help help my ladies feel totally comfortable and confident making their arrangements by choosing flowers that were not toxic to animals.

We had a lovely few hours playing with flowers, learning new techniques and chatting.

Getting to play, create and just be is so rare in adults life, it's exactly why I run these work shops.

All of these ladies now know we're to get amazing flowers and how to arrange them.

These workshops aren't about creating perfect flowers.

They're about giving yourself permission to play.

To experiment.
To learn through doing.
To work with beautiful, seasonal flowers and discover what you're capable of creating with a little guidance and a lot of encouragement.

My aim is to create a relaxed, welcoming experience where there are no mistakes! Just exploration, curiosity, and tried-and-tested techniques that help you create something you'll be genuinely proud to take home.

For a few hours, you can step away from the endless to-do lists, immerse yourself in nature, connect with other creative people, and simply enjoy making something with your hands.

I've spent the last 7 years refining my floral design style, becoming known for abundant, natural arrangements that look as though they've just been gathered from a beautiful garden. Teaching workshops allows me to share that knowledge in a way that's accessible, fun, and confidence-building.

A total flashback to this gorgeous day. Bring on the cool, elegant summer vibes!

I’ve been deep in proposal work this week, which naturally led me down memory lane to Felicity and Lee’s incredible wedding. My absolute favorite thing about it? They threw out the traditional rulebook and did things exactly how they wanted.

The perfect day looked like:

An intimate ceremony & wedding breakfast at 🥂

Shifting gears to East Keswick Hall for a huge party 🪩

A total venue transformation to make it uniquely theirs (complete with a late-night toastie van!) 🔥

Hi, I’m Nicola, founder of Dittany Entwined Floral Design & Dittany Entwined Art.

I’ve always been completely obsessed with creativity, art, and nature.

As a child, I was constantly drawing, painting, making things, and exploring. I loved beautiful buildings, hidden details, old churches, woodlands, gardens, and spaces that made you feel something. I think I’ve always been searching for beauty, atmosphere, and connection in one form or another.

Floristry actually never crossed my mind as a career. It wasn’t something I grew up thinking was an option for me.

It found me

It brought together everything I had always loved:
art, movement, colour, texture, nature, storytelling, and creating emotion through design.

My approach to floral design is deeply personal and intuitive. I’m less interested in following trends and more interested in creating something that feels like you. Designs that feel abundant, intentional, full of movement, and connected to the space they exist within.

I want people to feel something when they walk into a room.

Calm.
Wonder.
Emotion.
Connection.

I also believe the experience matters just as much as the flowers themselves. I care deeply about how my couples feel throughout the process and creating work that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and full of meaning.

Flowers became so much more than flowers for me. They became a way of creating atmosphere, preserving memories, and telling stories in a way words sometimes can’t.

I feel very lucky that this is what I get to call work 💛

Are you a peony lover? 🌸

Are you craving a little more me time?

There is something so beautifully mindful about creating with fresh flowers.
The scent, the movement, the connection to nature, the quiet immersion in design… it creates a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words.

And then there’s the feeling afterwards, creating something with your own hands that you feel genuinely proud of. That feeling is everything.

This is exactly why I created these workshops.
A space to slow down, create, connect, learn, and simply enjoy the process.

On the 29th of May, I’ll be hosting a workshop entirely inspired by peonies 🌸

You’ll learn how to create a beautiful hand-tied bouquet using stunning seasonal peonies, whilst also learning design tips and techniques that will help you create arrangements that feel natural, abundant, and full of movement.

But more than that, you’ll have the freedom to play, experiment, and discover what you personally love aesthetically, with plenty of support and guidance throughout.
