With our new product, poster and the cardboard box, .de participated in the market organized by in Rijswijk, the Netherlands on September 3rd, 2023.
In the beautiful garden of the museum there was a very nice atmosphere and many interesting and creative people selling beautiful objects made with paper and textile. Thanks so much to the organizers .

Add colors to these drawings

SOUL KITCHEN -not a coloring book, but artists drawings where colors can be added.

* For the kids and adults as an activity to be done together

Drawings for the SOUL KITCHEN are done by internationally known visual artist Sophia Tabatadze, created specifically for Mukao.
These drawings depict everyday objects and invented shapes. Sophia Tabatadze registers her direct environment and adds an imaginative layer to it. Strange combinations take place in her home where she lives with her six years old kid: toy lizards are taped on the sled in the living room, garden rake meets drawing materials on the kitchen table and so on... so instead of cleaning up Sophia notices these combinations and draws them them on small formatted papers.
SOUL KITCHEN is placed in a multifunctional corrugated cardboard folder with a carrying handle. This folder can be turned into an easel and a wall pocket.

Super happy to read the interview in Contemporary Lynx about Mukao მუკაო thanks Patrycja Rozwora.

There were three factors, which made me excited about this project. Number one was the fact, that I am a mother myself and know what kids play with and what types of objects they like. I was drawn to the idea of creating toys for a sustainable future of the next generations. Number two was the longing for working with my hands again: to fold, cut and experiment. Last but not least number three was the fact, that I felt completely disconnected from the art world and art within the gallery space. I read somewhere, that it’s like with religion. If you lose faith in it, you just cannot believe again. I needed a fresh look at what art can be.

Sophia co-founded Mukao – a company that makes innovative products from corrugated cardboard. The idea of the company is based on three simple principles: creativity, playfulness and awareness.
