• Paint an X with light pink and connect the ends with slightly curved lines.

• Fill in the dress and add two small triangles at the top.

• Drop in more saturated pink along the edges to add depth.

• Once dry, paint two long, curved lines from the bottom corners.

• Connect the lines with a long, wiggly line to create the tutu.

• From each dip in the wiggly bottom line, paint a slightly curved line back up toward the bodice.

• Add two thin, teardrop-shaped straps extending from the two top triangles.

• Add small shadows around the waist and along the bottom edge of the tutu.

• Paint a curly bracket-shaped hanger with a hook at the top.

And that’s it! Your ballerina tutu dress is ready!

Let’s paint Baby Ballerina Slippers!

• Paint an eight with light pink watercolor

• Connect the two circles along both sides with straight lines

• Add a curved line near the top and another across the bottom

• Fill the bottom section with light pink and repeat for the second shoe

• Once dry, paint four ribbons using soft, wavy lines

• Add a little shadow inside the shoes, around the edges, and along the ribbons

• Personalize your painting with a name to make it extra special

Let’s paint fancy cowgirl boots! 🤠

• Paint two J shapes and connect the ends.

• Extend the bottom lines, shape the sides, and close the tops with little arches.

• Fill with peachy pink and let dry.

• Add a darker line down the middle, then paint the heels and soles.

• Add little rectangles at the top for the boot pull tabs.

• Darken the soles and add decorative details.

• Get creative and make your boots your own!

• Paint a fluffy yellow oval with squiggly strokes and drop in some orange and red.

• Add a U-shaped face, oval legs and arms, and teardrop-shaped ears.

• Create the witch’s hat using an infinity shape, a triangle, and a little crescent moon at the tip. Fill it with purple.

• Add a little pumpkin bag, shadows, and fluffy texture with wispy strokes.

• Finish with a pink V-shaped nose, a smile, and rosy cheeks.

• With a fine liner, add striped tights, W-shaped hooves, cute little gloves, tiny eyes, and eyebrows.

• Loosely outline the sheep, add a shadow underneath, and finish with a few highlights.

I never expected that teaching my daughter how to draw would change the way I see the world. ❤️

When she told me, “Mommy, I can’t draw like you,” I wanted to show her that drawing isn’t just about talent. It’s about learning to see, understanding simple shapes, and practicing one little step at a time.

And somewhere along the way, I started seeing those shapes everywhere!

That’s why I love breaking drawings down into simple steps. Because I truly believe that anyone can learn to draw if they give themselves a chance.

🟡 Paint this cute Halloween card with just a few simple steps!

• Trace a cup or jar to make a circle.

• Fill with lemon yellow and add warm yellow.

• Sprinkle with salt for texture. Let dry and brush off the salt.

• Paint a black arch with curved ends.

• Draw three lines down and connect them with smooth curves.

• Fill with black and tidy up the edges.

• Add an almond-shaped body and two triangular ears.

• Draw a U-shape with curved ends, three lines down, and smooth curves to connect them.

• Start with a slightly wonky heart for the body
• From the tip, paint two rounded triangle shapes for the paws
• Smooth out the shape and fill the whole cat with black paint
• Pull a curved line up from the bigger side to create the tail
• Paint two triangle ears on the smaller side
• Once dry, use white paint or a white marker for the eyes
• Add a tiny heart-shaped nose, paw lines and a few whiskers
• Drop in black pupils and a tiny white highlight
• Add a little quote or text underneath

You don’t need to be an artist, just start with a heart and follow along.
