“The gentle art of not being self-absorbed”
❤︎ My inspiration for making this was actually irritation, from watching care becoming a product. In a time when “self-care” is branded, packaged, and sold back to us, we are taught to look inward, selfishly, distanced from everything and everyone. As identity becomes curated and mirrored through social media, we risk confusing performance with presence, and narcissism with growth. There is no care of the self that does not pass through care for unity, respect, nature, for the fragile systems that hold us. To tend to yourself is to tend to the world that makes you possible. The crane depicted—keeper of balance— moves between earth, water, and sky: a symbol of longevity, wisdom, and mutual respect.
