At the beginning of a concept, it is important to be brave and make clear choises. Designing a home should never be a typical exercise, instead, it should contain an element of play, curiosity and a willingness to explore. This approach led us to combine a calm, neutral base with more vivid materials and unexpected details, creating an interior that feels both sophisticated and unpretentious.
High-textured marble, dark wood and textured glass bring depth and character to the spaces, while the blue colour of the metal staircase plays an important role as a strong and distinctive accent. The same playful and unselfconscious attitude continues through the lighting and furniture, where sculptural forms and carefully selected pieces create moments of contrast and personality.
The round wall sconce is by Penta Lighting, while the chandelier is by Nemo. The blue-painted buffet is a classic solid-wood piece from Zaira Collection Store, which we transformed specifically for this project, giving an existing piece a new and more contemporary identity.
In the living area, the Contour Mirror by IOSV Studio follows the soft geometry of the curved sofa and coffee table, reinforcing the dialogue between the different rounded forms. Together, these elements create a home that is refined but not overly serious. A space where materials, color, furniture and lighting are allowed to interact freely.
Ultimately, the intension was to create an interior with a strong sense of character, one thar feels considered and sophisticated, but at the same time playful, relaxed and open to experimentation.
