A more subtle stainless damascus than my usual, VG2 and VG10 damascus steel from my trip to Japan in 2023. 62 HRC, walkschliff grind, stainless carved bolster, and a beautiful stabilized mango handle.

It’s copper time!
235mm x 51mm Apex Ultra core steel with Copper Damascus San Mai cladding in a walkschliff grind.
Textured stainless steel bolster, copper spacer and an insane stabilized burl handle to finish the piece the way it deserves.
The contrast on this one changes constantly under different lighting, dark, warm and aggressive from one angle, bright and flowing from another.

It took a little longer, but it finally arrived!

Mirror polished Damasteel with a walkschliff grind, textured bolster with a few last minute changes :),
saya was made after the build was completed, built from glass fiber and designed as an opening saya.

“Kalokagatheia”, a K-tip gyuto featuring a mirror polished Damasteel blade, tapered construction and a walkscliff grind. Paired with a matching little brother, “Cresphontes”, built with the same overall specifications, minus the walkscliff grind.

Carved bolster, offset spacer and carbon fiber handle, shaped to create a balance between aggression and elegance.
