Ya'll have been asking me to share more on this project. Here are some more pics from one of my favourite spots in this house. This kitchen its so sleek. We used a dark blue shaker panel (yah, first time doing a shaker panel but def wont be the last one! ) the hardware its from in solid brass. Gorgeous Carrara marble counter and splashback, and custom shelving sourced by our amazing contractor that I will not share details of because he it's mine. Lastly, the hood is from Italian brand , which does amazing stuff, but it's not easy to bring to Hong Kong, but we do anything for our clients.

Throwback to this install with and all this amount of clutter that makes me so anxious but it's beautiful

I'm sick and at home today, and I had a moment to reflect on all the incredible things I accomplished last year. I was thinking how much I loved this corner at our KL project, how I envisioned this like a glass box floating on the water, and how painful this project was when the contractor abandoned ship because they could not make it happen. Then COVID hit and it seemed we were never going to finish but then we found the best contractor with the most wonderful team and everyone came together and worked so hard. And if it was just magic.

We love a concealed door so much that we added one in this project to access the laundry room. It not only allows for the kitchen to extend all along the back wall and for a seamless transition from one space to the other but also blends with the kitchen panel. It also looks super sleek and completely hidden!

So many of you asked, 'Where did we get this furniture from?'
It's from an Australian Brand called King Living they do not have a store in Hong Kong. Our client introduced us to this brand a couple of years ago. We love the style and quality and since the furniture options in Hong Kong are quite limited we use this brand whenever we can!

My contractor asked the other day, “Why do we care so much?” I could do more projects and make more money if we didn't spend so much time on the small details.

Yes, my life will be easier if I didn't care so much but our clients are trusting me with their homes and sometimes their life savings, and that's something I take very freaking seriously.

This is my chance of honouring their trust and of course, putting something beautiful out there đŸ«¶

Y’all see the pretty picture—but behind it are hours and hours of site visits, dust-eating, material hunting, China visits, slab hunting, wiring testing, engineering, and countless trips up and down Lockhard Rd.
Arguments in all languages and deep breaths included. 😅
I’m definitely not worried about AI taking over—AI can’t put up with this. đŸ€–đŸš«đŸ˜‚

Last time you guys loved our tips reel about making your space look bigger! You don’t need to renovate in order to make your space feel ‘magazine worthy’ So here are five more tips, but this time about *how to upgrade your rental apartment.*

1. Full-length curtains: It will give the space a more curated look and will make the ceiling seem higher!
2. Feature a statement furniture piece: Having one main piece of furniture creates a centerpiece or as designers like to call it ‘anchor piece’, then you can build your decor around it.
3. Keep your large pieces neutral: Neutral-tone furniture let you accessorize the space with more colors and textures—through cushions, lamps, artwork, etc. Also, neutral pieces are more timeless and long-lasting.
4. Use warm lighting: Warm lamps are more inviting and cozy than bright overhead lights, which can feel a bit colder. Lamps are also great decorative pieces for your surfaces. Us designers, never turn on the ceiling lights!
5. Declutter: Don’t have too many things—keep floors and surfaces clear. If you want the space to feel upgraded, always tidy things away. Find ways to store your small items, in boxes or baskets and always keep things organized.
