A Bright Future began on canvas – artist and architect Dr William Lim’s vision of a world restored to vitality, brimming with possibility.

As part of at , Tai Ping artisans have translated oil painting into textile: impasto brushstrokes reimagined through masterfully manipulated pile and texture.

The immersive installation invites viewers to step inside a surrealist dreamscape and experience the optimism that comes with looking forward.

A Bright Future by William Lim x Tai Ping is on view through 5 May at The Verandah, The Peninsula Hong Kong.

Currently presented in Tai Ping’s London showroom, the collection marks the 90th anniversary of Edward Fields — an American design legacy and part of the House of Tai Ping.

The carpets of The Fifth Wall draw inspiration from Edward Fields’ home, New York City.

Hand-tufted wool, texture, and light reveal the character of the eight designs, each as diverse and energetic as the city that inspired them.

RAMOSA VIVID — A reimagined homage to French tradition.

Described by Sam Baron as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Napoleon style, a decorative border frames an open field of aquarelle-inspired pink. Dark green patterns suggest a tree canopy’s dappled shadows, while over-stitched lines trace a whimsical reading of floral forms.

Now on view at Tai Ping’s Paris showroom, 3 Place des Victoires, through March 15.

One unfolds in swirls and flowing lines, evoking vitality and the cyclical rhythm of life. The other offers a more refined, harmonious composition—blending contemporary artistry with enduring symbolism.
