「陳土」展

光陰荏苒，香港當代陶藝協會已立足香港三十個寒暑。感恩在協會成長的同時，見證了香港陶藝的發展，誠然與其他香港人一樣，共同經歷了發生在這片土地的大小事。其中，新冠病毒肆虐全球，令社會上的公開活動停擺，令人與人之間的日常互動受到限制。

在這艱巨的環境下，藝術活動也不例外，寒冬忽爾來臨，沒任何預兆。

期間，藝術工作者失去直接向大眾展示作品的機會，但仍默默地繼續創作，嘗試在另類的平台，以作品回應這種新常態，尋找自身的存在價值，並守候著生活復常的時刻，以作品真實的呈現跟觀眾重遇。

香港當代陶藝協會同樣以這精神與大眾同度艱難的日子，故是次展覽命名為「陳土」：大自然的陶土在所處環境中經歷愈久，其可塑性則愈強，陶土雖在這寒冬沉睡，然而隨時間的洗練、陳熟，生命力更見加添，當中混沌的外在物質與內在的思索往往融會在作品中，甚或轉化及昇華。藉陶人的心思巧手，於不同的創作階段展現「陳土」的魅力，此乃陶人與陶土的熟稔，把陶土潛藏的能力，結合陶人思緒，創作獨特的作品。

我們面對疫情學習到與逆境共存並適應，讓我們嘗到生活的無常，改變我們對必然的想法，也叫我們慢下來靜觀內省，珍惜當下。這正好呼應著--陳熟隨時間沈澱並轉化，其也可是豐富自身的過程。

是次為協會成立三十週年之聯展，同為疫情過後首次的作品公眾展示，是會員積極面對當下的體現。透過展覽及一系列活動，希望藉此推動香港陶藝教育，聯繫更多在這片土地成長、生活的人，讓大家一起享受陶藝創作，延續香港陶藝的發展。

"Aged Terroirs" Exhibition

Over the past thirty years, the Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.) has grown alongside the development of ceramic art in Hong Kong. Like all Hong Kong people, we have witnessed the ups and downs that have unfolded here. Among them, the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic brought public activities to a standstill, restricting our everyday interactions with one another.

In that challenging environment, art activities were not spared, as we were caught off guard by the unforeseen and arduous winter that settled upon us.

During this time, artists were unable to showcase their work directly to the public. They continued to create diligently, however, while seeking alternative platforms as they adapted to the new norm. Artists embarked on a journey to comprehend and reaffirm their artistic value, while patiently anticipating the moment when their creations could, once again, authentically reconnect with the audience.

The Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.) has chosen to name this exhibition "Aged Terroirs", drawing inspiration from the transformative nature of clay, which becomes increasingly malleable and refined with the passage of time. Guided by the skilled hands and imaginative minds of ceramic artists, the essence of "Aged Terroirs" is unveiled through their works created during these past few years. They harness the hidden potential of clay, combining it with their thoughts to produce unique artworks.

The pandemic has taught us to coexist with adversity and adapt, reminding us of the unpredictability
