【氣候挑戰下的建築回應 | Architectural Response to Climate Challenges】
在極端氣候日益頻繁的背景下，建築不僅承擔空間功能，更肩負防災與社區連結的角色。日本岡山縣於2018年「西日本豪雨」後，委託隈研吾建築團隊打造防災公園，成為韌性建築的典範。
這座公園的建築以當地竹子為主材🎋，竹構橫向延伸，像是張開的雙臂，連接社區活動中心與儲備倉庫。活動中心以玻璃窗打造，空間通透，讓人一進去就感受到開放與包容。
屋簷的自然曲線不只遮陽避雨，更讓空氣流動，融合了傳統工藝與現代設計。建築留白處望出去，一邊是城市的喧囂，一邊是山脈的靜謐🏞️，人與自然的關係，仿佛透過空間重新編織。
整體設計展現建築如何在災後重塑空間秩序，並透過材料、形式與景觀語言，建立人與環境的對話。未來的城市規劃，也能從這座竹造公園汲取靈感，造更具韌性與人情味的都市空間。
In an era of increasingly frequent extreme weather events, architecture takes on more than just spatial functions—it becomes a tool for disaster resilience and community connection. Following the devastating Western Japan Floods in 2018, Okayama Prefecture commissioned renowned architect Kengo Kuma’s team to create a disaster prevention park, now considered a model for resilient architecture.
The park's main structures are built using locally sourced bamboo🎋, extending horizontally like outstretched arms to link a community activity center with a storage facility. The activity center features expansive glass windows, fostering a sense of openness and inclusion as soon as one steps inside.
The gently curving eaves not only provide shelter from sun and rain, but also facilitate natural airflow, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Through the intentional spatial gaps, one side reveals the bustle of the city, while the other frames the serenity of nearby mountains—rewriting the relationship between people and nature.🏞️
The overall design showcases how architecture can reconstruct spatial order after a disaster. Using locally resonant materials, expressive forms, and landscape-based language, the park initiates a dialogue between humans and the environment. Urban planners of the future can draw inspiration from this bamboo-crafted park to create cities that are not only resilient, but deeply humane.
