(PART 1)

This home in Tai Hang is around 1,600 square feet. The previous layout had many small rooms and an extended corridor, which made the space feel tight and disconnected.
The current owners—a couple with a young son—wanted the living room to become the heart of their home, a place where the family could truly gather. Instead of a traditional TV wall, we moved the TV into a nearby study, allowing the space to focus more on people and interactions.
A curved sofa was placed at the center of the living room, creating a relaxed, cozy spot. Nearby, we added a play area for the child, encouraging daily family interaction. Though it’s currently a three-person household, the couple is expecting a second child, and their parents often visit—so we emphasized spaces that support togetherness.
The old layout made rooms feel isolated. Our new design connects the spaces with open features like a floating cabinet in the entryway, a curved glass partition for the study, and continuous ceiling geometry, etc. These choices bring fluid flow and openness to the home.
Behind the living room is a café-like dining area. Since the walkway there is narrow, we used a built-in bench design to save space and create a cozy atmosphere. Next to it, a semi-open kitchen is separated by a stylish glass divider, keeping visual connection with the rest of the home.
Curved lines appear throughout the design—not just for aesthetics, but also to create a child-friendly environment and soften the space’s structure.
This home is designed for a growing family. It’s more than just a place to live—it's a space that supports family bonding, everyday memories, and the joy of growing together. Every curve and detail reflects care for their present life and future dreams.
