Did you know that bringing a concept from raw wax to a finished masterpiece takes serious engineering precision? 🕯️💡

Look at this incredible creation! From running temperature tests to mastering color layering, our students didn’t just make a candle—they brought science and art together into one gorgeous, handcrafted piece.

The proudest moment for any instructor is seeing that final product shining in their hands, knowing every detail was calculated, crafted, and perfected by them. The focus, curiosity, and creativity in the room were off the charts! 🌟✨

Standard science experiments are great, but what if students could take their "lab results" home as beautiful, functional art? 🔬🎨

As a gifted education teacher, I am beyond proud to have been selected by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) for the second year to run our STEAM Candle Innovation course. The response was overwhelming—the course was entirely oversubscribed, requiring a lucky draw to finalize our amazing class of 35 students!

From calculating wick engineering to layering colors, these students embraced every scientific and artistic challenge. A huge bonus? They showed incredible responsibility by rolling up their sleeves to clean the lab afterward. True scientists respect their lab space! 🧽✨

Check out some behind-the-scenes moments from today's classroom below. 👇
