Rare by Oulton Father & son duo, Tim & Oli Oulton, have made it their mission to rewrite the antiques rulebook.

Showcasing a collection of truly unique pieces, Rare by Oulton features a collection procured and curated by Tim Oulton, Founder and Creative Director of Timothy Oulton, the purveyor of high quality furniture, interior and lifestyle items. The Timothy Oulton interiors collections find deep roots in Tim's background, which involved him in his father’s antiques business at an early age. Tim has been

actively collecting antiques ever since, and Rare by Oulton showcases many pieces which have inspired his furniture designs over the years. The first Rare boutique in Hong Kong covers two storeys, and features reclaimed English mahogany parquet floors, and an imposing brass door that has been fitted to what was once the entrance to a printing shop at 19 Gough Street in the heart of the city. The collection and the boutique is managed by Mr Lucas Vitale, who has known and worked with Tim for many years, and who was the founding gallery manager when Timothy Oulton opened its first store in Hong Kong. The Rare collection includes distinctive, unusual and, of course, rare pieces. A continually rotating stock currently includes a pair of 1890s barber’s chairs, a 1940s double life-size training model of a Browning M1919 A4 .30 calibre machine gun, as well as a selection of antique custom Louis Vuitton and Goyard trunks. The store's carefully curated collection of rarities portrays Tim's passionate interest in timeless design, unique creativity and truly authentic heritage craftsmanship.

A silver Decanter realistically modelled as a Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky Bottle, c.1980, complete with labelling, marked 'Silver' underneath, at 29cm high. Walker & Hall were a well-known large firm of manufacturing silversmiths founded in 1845 in Sheffield. They produced a wide variety of objects in silver and silver plate, expanding to become one of the largest silversmiths in Edwardian England.
