【跑馬地項目｜紀雲峰】單位先天條件優越，我們由細節出發，從歐陸式玄關到適量法式花線，慢慢堆疊空間層次。

一幅深色feature wall劃清飯廳界線，而恰到好處的腰線高度，則把空間的視覺比例拉長。

在兒童房部分，屋主不想風格與主空間相差太遠，我們改用真繩索搭建玩樂角落，避開卡通玩具的繽紛感，只保留玩味，以及看得見的質感。

With great bones to begin with, this apartment at The Altitude in Happy Valley was shaped around the homeowner’s wish for a touch of classic charm.

We layered in detail from a European-style entrance to restrained French mouldings. A dark feature wall defines the dining area, while a crisp dado line visually lifts the space. In the kids’ room, real rope forms a playful corner, avoiding cartoonish toys and keeping things fun yet textural.

很高興再次獲得同一個家庭的信任。十年前，我們為父母打造居所；這次，由下一代委託我們設計這個2,000呎單位。

我們以大地色系營造開闊而優雅的空間，透過弧線天花修飾橫樑，配合大理石與藝術漆牆面，在細節之中延續彼此多年建立的信任與默契。

We are grateful to be trusted by the same family once again. Ten years ago, we designed a home for the parents; this time, we were invited by the next generation to create this 2,000 sq ft apartment.

Shaped with an earthy palette, softened curves, and refined materials like marble and art-painted walls, the space reflects a continuity of trust and our commitment to thoughtful, timeless design.

設計得宜，滿洲玻璃、古董傢俬與字畫都能自然融入日常生活。

北角這個約2,000呎的單位，兩姊妹已住了二十多年。翻新重點不在改變，而是整理空間和動線，讓原有的傢俬和收藏可以繼續好好使用，貼合現在的生活。

With the right design approach, Manchurian glass, antique furniture and artworks can sit naturally within everyday living.

This 2,000 sq ft North Point flat has been home to two sisters for over 20 years. Rather than introducing major changes, the renovation focused on improving the layout and circulation, allowing existing furniture and collections to remain in use and better support their current lifestyle.

酸枝傢俬一直被視為中式家居中的珍品，大紅酸枝更是宮廷御用的「三大貢木」之一，與黃花梨及小葉紫檀並列，常見於清末民初家具之中。

這類傢俬所用紅木需要極長時間生長，愈舊愈罕有，本身已帶矜罕性，加上傳統榫卯工藝講究用料、比例與手工，一件傢俬往往由工匠花上長時間反覆打磨，才有溫潤油亮的質感。

這個北角單位的屋主珍藏多件價值連城的酸枝傢俬，其中一張糅合中西元素的梳妝枱更是罕見，西式造型與貝殼花線，結合中國二龍戲珠紋樣，在同一件家具上自然並置。

我們做設計，不希望這些古董只作為展示品，而是思考如何真正走進屋主的日常。

例如帶冰裂紋圖案的六角形飯枱，本身已極具個性，我們重新配搭軟墊，既保留歲月痕跡，同時也換上一層全新的生活氣息。

Rosewood has long been revered in Chinese homes, with Da Hong Suan Zhi ranked alongside the most prized imperial timbers.

These pieces take decades, if not centuries, for the wood to mature, and the finest examples are increasingly rare.

In this North Point flat, the owner’s heirloom furniture is not treated as museum pieces, but woven back into everyday life – from a vanity that fuses Western lines with Chinese motifs to a hexagonal dining table refreshed with new upholstery.

Our role as designers is to honour their patina and history, while giving them a quiet, contemporary Hong Kong twist.

滿洲玻璃的設計難度，在於新舊共存。

這種廣式彩色玻璃窗盛行於晚清至民國年間的珠三角地區，糅合西方平板玻璃工藝與嶺南傳統美學，既重裝飾性，亦蘊含吉祥寓意。

師傅透過蝕刻技術，在玻璃上描繪花鳥紋樣，同時回應嶺南氣候對通風與採光的需求。

但要將百年玻璃重新演繹到當代空間，實際操作遠比想像中複雜。

玻璃質地纖薄，從拆卸到重新鑲嵌的每一個步驟都充滿風險，稍有偏差便可能碎裂或無法精準拼合。

在這個康明苑單位中，我們與經驗豐富的師傅緊密合作，為每塊玻璃度身訂造框架或屏風，並因應其保存狀態調整固定方式，同時延續原有圖案語彙。

作為設計師，我們的角色，是讓承載記憶與溫度的物件，在當代語境中延續生命。

The challenge of working with Manchuria glass lies in balancing old and new.

This coloured Cantonese glazing, popular in the Pearl River Delta from the late Qing to the Republican era, blends Western flat-glass techniques with Lingnan aesthetics and auspicious symbolism.

Its glass is very thin, so every step from removal to reinstatement is risky; the slightest misalignment can cause cracking or prevent a precise fit.

In this Cumine Court flat, we worked with seasoned craftsmen to customise frames and screens for each pane, adapting fixings to their condition while continuing the original visual language.

As designers, our role is to let objects that carry memory and warmth live on in a contemporary setting.

時下流行簡約北歐風，但其實中式風格只要處理得宜，一樣可以很貼近生活。

這個北角康明苑單位，屋主兩姊妹住了二十多年，家中收藏滿載回憶的古董家具與字畫。所以我們的設計起點並非改變，而是保留與延續，讓這些珍藏自然融入當下生活。

例如她們從廣州老宅帶回來的滿洲玻璃窗，本是窗戶構件，今次被轉化為房門與屏風設計。其中一塊更嵌入訂製屏風，並以其紋樣延伸，成為客飯廳的視覺焦點。

為呼應飯廳中楊泳梁的《蜃市山水(三)- 迷失》作品，旁邊的訂製廚房趟門亦融入相應圖案，讓畫作與空間自然連結。

而原有的酸枝餐枱與餐櫈，配上軟墊後多了一份輕鬆感；字畫則沿走廊展示，讓書卷氣自然滲入日常。

中式風格常被視為難以駕馭，但關鍵從來不在風格本身，而在於如何回應居住者的生活與情感。

當設計能夠承載屋主的喜好與記憶，中式亦可以輕盈、當代，甚至充滿個性。

畢竟，屋主本身才是家的主角。

Scandi minimalism might still be everywhere, but this North Point apartment proves Chinese interiors can feel just as current.

Home to two sisters for over 20 years, the space is filled with antiques and artworks collected over time. Instead of a full reset, the design leans into what’s already there, updating how these pieces live day to day.

Manchurian glass panels from Guangzhou are reworked into doors and a custom screen, now a standout feature in the living-dining area. Nearby, a sliding kitchen door picks up on motifs from a Yang Yongliang artwork, keeping things visually connected without overdoing it.

Paired with softened details, think cushioned rosewood seating, and a corridor lined with art, the result feels layered, personal, and easy to live in.

Chinese style doesn’t have to be heavy. It just has to feel like home.
