A Maasai in Zagreb fixing my African shop was definitely NOT on my weekend bingo card. πŸ˜‚

But that’s how the weekend started.

A few hours later, I was at a panel discussion listening to women share stories from across borders.

Saturday was spent at the market, meeting beautiful people and sharing a little piece of Africa through Dobro Africa. ❀️

And on Sunday?

Farmer mode activated. πŸŒ±πŸ˜‚

Some weekends are for resting.
This one was for building, connecting, selling, learning, and growing.

Tomorrow is a new day. ✨

This hat was created for a storyteller.

A film producer. A writer. A man who has spent decades carrying memories, experiences, and stories across continents while living in the diaspora.

When I started working on this piece, I wasn’t just decorating a hat. I was thinking about journeys. About the roads we travel, the places that shape us, and the stories we carry with us wherever life takes us.

Every symbol, every line, and every detail was painted by hand with respect for a life rich in experience, creativity, and resilience.

As an artist, I believe the most beautiful creations are not the ones we wear, but the stories behind them.

This hat is my tribute to a man whose work has helped tell stories, preserve memories, and inspire others through film and writing.
