Beautiful textiles for your home

Colour is one of the most important parts of my design process.

A carefully chosen colour can bring a pattern to life, emphasise a texture, or completely transform the character of a woven surface. I often spend a great deal of time selecting and combining colours — looking not only at how they work next to each other, but also at the atmosphere they create together.

This is especially important when designing textiles for our homes. Colour has the ability to change the feeling of a space: it can bring energy, warmth, calmness or depth, and subtly influence how we experience the room around us.

Meet Bijou 🐾

She’s my tiniest and cutest studio assistant. She’s been a part of our lives for over a year now, and from the very beginning, she’s shown a special interest in textiles.

Whether it’s weaving, yarns, or even a piece in the works, Bijou is always there to carefully inspect the work.

I’m not sure how much she actually helps — but she definitely makes the studio a better place.

A small heart with a big intention. ❤️

These custom-made mini pillows were created to fulfill a very personal wish: to bring positive energy and new beginnings into the home.

The heart motif isn’t just decoration; it’s also an expression of intent—by transforming the space around her, the client began to create the environment in which she wants to feel at ease.

I love it when a textile isn’t just beautiful but also takes on personal meaning.
The space that surrounds us also influences the way we live within it.

Megtisztelő számomra, hogy az alkotásaimon keresztül egy fontos ügyet támogathatok. Ez az egyedi tervezésű szőnyeg Réti Kristóf autizmussal élő alkotó munkája nyomán, az Autistic Art 20. jubileumi aukciójára készült.

Kristóf rajzainak színes blokkjai és jellegzetes manófigurái a szövés során új médiumban jelennek meg. A különböző színrétegek az autizmus spektrumának sokféleségére utalnak, és az egyéni különbségek természetességét hangsúlyozzák.

Ez az alkotás az Autistic Art Jótékonysági Aukcióján, október 12-én a Szépművészeti Múzeumban kerül kalapács alá.
Az aukció bevétele az autista lakóotthonok működését és az ott élők hosszú távú támogatását segíti.

It is an honor for me to support an important cause through my artwork. This uniquely designed rug was created for the 20th anniversary auction of Autistic Art, inspired by the work of Kristóf Réti, an artist living with autism.

The colorful blocks and distinctive elf figures from Kristóf’s drawings are reimagined in a new medium through the weaving process. The various layers of color allude to the diversity of the autism spectrum and emphasize the naturalness of individual differences.

This piece will be avaiable at the Autistic Art Charity Auction on October 12 at the Museum of Fine Arts.
Proceeds from the auction will support the operation of residential homes for people with autism and provide long-term support for their residents.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of opening a very special exhibition at GIM House in Gödöllő.

ISLAND OF WEAVING – Textilek a kortárs szövőműhelyből presents works created over the past eight years in the GIM contemporary weaving studio.

For me, it was especially meaningful to speak about a place where weaving is not only a technique, but also a way of slowing down, concentrating and thinking through making.

The exhibition brings together textiles, design studies and works created in the studio, while also giving insight into the processes behind them.

Thank you to the GIM Gödöllői Iparművészeti Műhely team and to Zsófia Hidasi ZSOFI HIDASI for inviting me to open the exhibition, and to everyone who joined us for the opening.

The exhibition is on view until 7 November 2026 at GIM House, Gödöllő.

A lovely weekend at Makers Market — and a very good feeling to be back.

After such a long pause, it was wonderful to meet people again, talk about textiles, see familiar faces and introduce Dreaming Threads to new ones.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, touched the textiles, asked questions or took a piece of Dreaming Threads home. 🤍

And this is just the beginning.

There are a few new things taking shape in the studio that I can’t wait to share with you.

It’s been quiet here for a while.

But Dreaming Threads never really stopped.

The past year brought new ideas, new experiments and, perhaps most importantly, a lot of thinking about where I want to take this little world I created.

Now I feel ready to start sharing again.

There are new things taking shape in the studio — and I’m very excited to show them to you.

For now, I’d love to start by meeting you in person.

This weekend, Dreaming Threads will be at Makers Market. 🤍

Come by, say hello, see the textiles in person and have a little look at what’s coming next.
