Long story short 😁 Today, I thought I was simply buying a bag of rice for a little boy.he was collecting plastic bottles from the rubbish bin.
When i saw him go inside the supermarket, i asked what you want to buy .assumed it would be a small act of kindness—a few essentials, a quick stop at the checkout, and then I'd go home.
Instead, life quietly placed a lesson in that shopping basket.
There was rice.
There was coffees.
There were diapers.
There were candies.
Few bars of chocolates
And somehow...
there was perfume too. 😅
Standing at the cashier, I caught myself thinking,
"Wait... how did we get here?"
I paid anyway.
Not because I didn't notice what was happening,
but because, in that moment, I'd rather risk being too kind than become too suspicious.
On the way home, my heart felt heavier than my wallet.
Not because of what I spent,
but because the moment reminded me of an older version of myself—
the one who struggled to say NO.
The one who believed that kindness meant always saying YES.
Today, I remembered something I never want to forget:
Kindness is a gift.
Boundaries are wisdom.
One should never have to replace the other.
I don't want one disappointing experience to harden my heart.
I simply want it to make me wiser.
May I always have the courage to help...
and the wisdom to know where to stop.
Because the goal is not to stop being kind.
The goal is to remain kind without losing myself.
And yes...
I'm still wondering why there was perfume in the basket. 😂🤍
