Choosing internal door colours is where most schemes fall apart. This carousel gives you 7 no‑fail pairings—for warm whites, cool whites, greige/taupe, heritage looks, high contrast, and a colour‑drench trick. How to use it:

✨ Find your wall type (warm white, cool white, greige…)
✨ Pick 1 of the door swatches (or go 2–3 shades deeper than your walls)
✨ Finish: walls matte/eggshell, doors satin
✨ Hardware: match the vibe (aged brass with warm whites, black/chrome with cool whites)
✨ Pro tip: For contrast, aim for a 20+ LRV gap so it reads as intentional.

You couldn’t put your finger on it, but despite the gorgeous furniture and perfect paint colour, the space felt somehow chaotic or even cheap?

Here’s the culprit you never suspected: your light bulbs are fighting each other. 💡

Most people focus on brightness when choosing bulbs, but here’s what interior designers obsess over – it’s not about how bright your lights are, it’s about making sure they’re all the same colour temperature.

That cozy 2700K warm bulb in your table lamp? It’s battling with the 4000K cool LED in your ceiling fixture. Your brain picks up on this visual discord immediately, even though you might not consciously realize what’s bothering you.

The result? That subtle “something’s wrong here” feeling that can make even the most expensive decor look disjointed.

The fix is surprisingly simple: Pick one colour temperature per room and stick to it religiously.

I went quiet here for a reason. I’ve noticed that two things can be true at once: I had a lot of work on, and being online started to pull my focus (and mood) in ways that didn’t serve my clients or me.

The busy feeds had me slipping into comparison—everyone, everywhere—while my days consisted of plans, site visits, samples, and repeats. That’s human.

Stepping back helped me remember what matters: the craft, the detail, the calm that good design brings. Comparison is loud; craft is quiet.

Social media break paid off. I delivered, learned, and built spaces I’m proud to stand in. I’m back—clear-headed and intentional. Easing in slowly and sharing work I’m proud of: a few short videos from recent projects—stunning textures, big decisions, and the moments when a room finally sings.

🕵️‍♀️ THE DESIGN DETECTIVE: 3 SNEAKY CRIMES SOLVED!

Ever walk into a room that feels “almost perfect” but something’s bugging you? Welcome to my world...

THE SCENE: This dreamy bedroom had all the right bones - gorgeous paneling, luxe textures, perfect proportions. But my designer eye was twitching. Time to investigate! 🔍

💥 CRIME #1: THE TINY RUG TRAGEDY What I saw: A little brown rug drowning in a sea of floor space The plot twist: Not only was it too small (floating sadly instead of anchoring the furniture), but that brown color was doing NOTHING for the space! The hero moment: We supersized it AND went light and bright. Why? Because contrast is EVERYTHING! That lighter rug now makes the rich brown paneling pop like magic. A little contrast goes a long way when you want to make things absolutely mesmerizing! ✨

🪟 CRIME #2: THE NAKED WINDOW SCANDAL What I saw: Gorgeous architectural bones... completely undressed The real tea: Bare windows are like wearing a stunning outfit with no accessories - technically fine, but missing that final flourish that makes people go “WOW!” The transformation: Those floor-to-ceiling curtains didn’t just add softness - they added DRAMA and made those ceilings feel sky-high!

💡 CRIME #3: THE VANISHING LAMP MYSTERY What I saw: A brown lamp playing hide-and-seek with the brown wall (and losing!) The breakthrough: Switched to white for instant contrast, but here’s the designer secret - that lamp leg perfectly complements the bedside table’s style (matching metals = chef’s kiss!). Plus, the height adds serious drama because here’s the rule: Big headboard = big or tall lamp! No wimpy lighting allowed!

The final verdict? Sometimes the smallest tweaks create the biggest “OMG” moments!
