I like to mix and match good quality fabrics to create items that are affordable yet a bit different. I play around with materials I find but am also happy to make items to order. FRENCH FANCY FRIDAY- we have two old chests used as bedside tables, printed Afrique du Nord

with a tacked list of items inside (in French and cursive), instructions for use and a chalk warning to be careful of small items underneath a pile of handkerchiefs

in my imagination it was a newly married couple (one instruction says that the wedding dress may be made into something new by a seamstress) heading to maybe Algeria on a new adventure and I'd be interested to know what you think happend next ... ideas in comments
