[IWD 2026]… My cup is truly full after having the pleasure of the company of so many inspirational women in our industry throughout the last fortnight. It’s truly inspiring to witness the power and success of the women of our industry, from those I work with, to my industry peers that I admire and have friendships with, to those who advocate, and go beyond to make our jobs more fulfilling and efficient, and take risks to elevate our industry. [CURATED]….we are in the midst of sourcing final pieces and accessories for some very special projects at the moment. I always remind myself that a few carefully chosen pieces are all we need sometimes. Kerry Farmhouse was a great example, where earthy accessories quietly elevate the sculptural elements, adding soul, and injecting character. Let the space speak for itself.

The [PRIMARY SUITE] at Westview House offers a sense of spaciousness that rivals the finest hotel penthouses. Every detail, from bespoke finishes to a refined color palette, has been thoughtfully curated to create a sense of calm. The suite comprises
the main bedroom, a bathroom with walk-through shower, and a seamless transition into the wardrobe area, all designed as part of an intuitive circuit. The flow of the space facilitates a natural daily rhythm - whether beginning the day with rejuvenation or unwinding in preparation for rest.

[WARMING UP]…. January kicks off with a big project commencement at - over the past 12 months we have been meticulously envisioning, refining and perfecting the detail for the renovation of their Ballroom suite which features a new, imaginative scheme based on the the concept of “Heritage Forward” which draws from their enduring Georgian heritage, and the rich cultural fabric of the town of Birr. The concept seeks not to mimic the past, but distill its essence with a spatial language that has an imprint of the present day. It’s been an exciting journey to get here, and it’s all now in the capable hands of the Canbe Construction team, who have 12 short weeks to bring the dream to life! Watch this space.

But first, it’s time to do the annual run around the French capital, where we are sourcing for the year ahead. We look forward to meeting our industry friends and suppliers, and soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful city - See you on the other side! 🇫🇷

[THREE CHEERS]… for 2025! Thank you to our clients, suppliers, industry friends and followers on here for making this year very special. It was at times challenging as we navigated some of our most ambitious projects to date, but the will and commitment from so many people has been steadfast in our collective pursuit of excellence. We are grateful to all of you who are on this journey with us.

Special thanks to our wonderful Ashen & Cloud team - Olga, Barbara, Sonali, Caroline, Sophie, Kim, Anne & Yvonne, who have achieved so much this year. You continue to amaze me with your talents every day. I look forward to moving us into our beautiful new home in 2026 - a building I have admired for as long as I remember, and one which will provide the basis for our continued growth and development.

[DAY or NIGHT]…. At Westview House we had the pleasure of designing two reception rooms which cater for a busy family life by day, and cosy entertaining at night. I know which one I’d pick on this very wet and windy day, which we affectionately refer to as “unsettled” here in Ireland. I shall thus be settling down for the day and doing as little as possible to counterbalance!

[FITOUT AWARDS 2025]…. Honoured to have both Stable House and Westview House nominated for Residential Project of the year 2025. Two very different projects that we immensely enjoyed creating together with our clients.

Congratulations to all our fellow nominees, who have collectively produced an impressive body of work with which to be proud. I look forward to seeing all our industry friends and partners at the awards ceremony later this evening, where site boots are to be swapped for sparkly heels and dapper bow ties - for one night only!

[MATERIALS]… still moments captured from Kerry Farmhouse where the beautiful brass kitchen is the hub of the home. Topped with stunning Brescia Viola marble, amidst a fuzzy backdrop of limewash walls and microcement - it was designed to provide a statement backdrop to family life.
