They say that the Millennial generation is the smarter generation. Every generation before and after score less than the Millennials. But if you go to Brú Na Bóinne, you realise that the smarter ‘generation’ was probably the Neolithic people. They had wood, stone and bones as tools. Very good observation of nature. And they had impressive engineering skills! The level of detail, precision and building skills to make these structures in Knowth and Newgrange is mind blowing. We are not even 100% sure how they did it! Stones from Wicklow and Dundalk areas are here! And no leak, no leak in the structure. The rain doesn’t go through! We don’t build like that anymore… Amazing place and I had never been before even if I am now celebrating 10 years in Ireland !

🍀 A little reintroduction, for those who are new here… and those who have been following me for a while.

I’m Clémence, a French artist and designer who fell in love with Ireland 10 years ago.

After 15 years in the corporate world, I decided in 2021 to take a leap of faith and build a life around creativity, art and the things that truly matter to me.

Today, I work from my little studio at Ardgillan Castle, creating art inspired by the Irish landscape, heritage, traditions and the beauty of everyday life.

But there is something more behind what I do.

I’m a calm-life advocate. I believe we need to slow down, reconnect with nature, make space for creativity and remember that life is happening right now.

Here, you’ll find Irish landscapes, art, heritage, glimpses of my creative process, and little reminders to pause and breathe.

I’m still figuring things out, still learning, still creating, and trying to build a life that feels more like me.

So, if you’re new here, welcome! And if you’ve been around for a while, thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️
