POV: You arrive at Ballintubber Abbey and THIS is your aisle... 🀍✨

I've been working on a new ceremony design and I think this might be my favourite yet.

A luxurious white carpet, endless floral meadows, lanterns glowing along the aisle, candlelight surrounding the altar, statement urns at the entrance and a romantic floral half arch welcoming guests as they arrive.

The aim was simple: create something elegant, timeless and completely unforgettable while enhancing the incredible beauty of Ballintubber Abbey itself.

Every step down this aisle feels magical. Every photograph feels like a dream. Every guest stops and says "wow."

I honestly can't get enough of this look. 🀍

Would you walk down this aisle?

✨ A little snippet from Shannagh & Brian's beautiful wedding day. ✨
I waited nearly a week to share these photos for two reasons β€” firstly, I headed straight from their wedding to Bloom in Dublin, and secondly, Shannagh had requested a social media clause as part of her wedding, which I was happy to respect.
Now that I can share a little glimpse, I just wanted to say what an absolute pleasure it was to work with such a lovely couple. Shannagh and Brian were a joy from start to finish, and it was made even more special by discovering that Brian is great friends with my husband's first cousin β€” proof that Mayo really is a small world! 😊
Thank you, Shannagh and Brian, for trusting us to be part of your day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and wonderful memories together. 🀍🌿

One of the questions I was asked several times at Bloom was, "What is the Institute of Flowers?"
It's a not-for-profit organisation working to support and strengthen floristry in Ireland through education, training, networking, and industry development.
One of the biggest challenges facing our industry is creating clear education pathways for future florists and helping floristry be recognised as the skilled profession it truly is
As someone who has spent over 30 years in the industry, I'm proud to play a small part as a board member and to work alongside a passionate group of people who care deeply about the future of floristry in Ireland.
After seeing the enthusiasm, support, and talent on display at Bloom this weekend, I'm more excited than ever about what's possible.

As I'm making my way home this evening, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who played a part in making Bloom 2026 such an incredible experience.

To the volunteers, suppliers, florists, designers, board members, supporters, and everyone who gave their time, energy, skills, and enthusiasm – thank you.

In over 30 years of floristry, I can honestly say it has been one of the most inspiring experiences of my career. To see so many people come together from all corners of the country, leaving their own businesses, shops, studios, and families behind for a few days, all with one shared purpose, was truly remarkable.

What struck me most was the willingness of everyone to simply roll up their sleeves and help. No job was too big, no job was too small. Whether conditioning flowers, carrying buckets, building displays, solving problems, teaching, learning, or supporting one another, everyone worked together with generosity, professionalism, and good humour.

It reminded me of the very best of our industry and why floristry is so special. We are a community of passionate, hardworking, creative people, and this week showcased that beautifully.

Thank you for the friendships, the teamwork, the laughs, the support, and the memories. I feel incredibly proud to have been part of it.

Take a well-earned rest, everyone. You should all be immensely proud of what we achieved together. πŸŒΏπŸ’š

🌸 Bloom Bank Holiday Weekend 🌸

A little snapshot from Institute of Flowers this week wearing one of the floral jewellery pieces I created for the opening day.

As a board member of the , I'm delighted to be spending the Bank Holiday weekend at Bloom celebrating our industry and sharing the incredible work of florists from across Ireland.

I'll also be demonstrating on Monday morning at 10.30am, so if you're visiting Bloom, please do stop by and say hello!

As I'm attending Bloom for the weekend, the studio phones will be unattended until Tuesday. If you'd like to place an order for delivery or collection from Tuesday onwards, you can still order online anytime at www.ballaflorists.com.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to catching up with everyone when we're back in the studio next week.

Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend! 🌿
