It's lovely to see the subtle differences in colour within this flock as they follow the 'sheep's gaet' (track made by sheep moving in single file) at the Bridge of Walls.

Shetland wool has one of the widest colour ranges of any breed - it is made up of eleven main whole colours with a huge variety of shades and variants in between.

Part of this fleece was too felted to spin so now it's Lily's bed and she loves it.

I crocheted this cloche hat over the weekend. The flowers are crocheted from my handspun wool.
All the wool used comes from our flock of shetlands who live high in the Ox mountains overlooking the Wild Atlantic Way.
