Lately I've been exploring crocheting. I'm planning to make a journal cover with crocheted embellishments and full crocheted cover. I've never done this before apart from a few rows of single crochet when I was a child. This is whole new craft for me, but I'm determined to make a beautiful book cover using wool. Here are a few of my attempts to crochet. I'm getting there 😄💜

Sigita Strike will be demonstrating how to make pocket size notebooks without sewing, bookmarks and little paper charms to attach to bags or keys or journals. These are quickly made and finishable projects to take home and ready perfect as a gift.

Open to all skill levels—whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned crafter, you’ll have a great time. A friendly, welcoming atmosphere to relax, connect, and get inspired.
No need to book and no entrance fee (but a donation is very welcome) just come along to St Marys Hall Buncrana (Buncrana Cinema) at 1pm on Wednesday 3rd December.

I came up with a different kind of bookmark. It has an envelope for small notes, and a slot on the back for more notes. When reading a book, if you see a quote you love, that's where you write it and keep it to go back to 😊

Here are a few small notebooks and bookmarks I'm selling. They all are made from recycled materials and are great to fit in the pocket or small handbag. Write down your funny or beautiful moments of the day, affirmations or compliments you receive, interesting things you see on your walks or around the house that made you happy, or messages to your loved ones you later can hand them as a gift. Great as stocking fillers too. And a beautiful handmade bookmark is always a handy little gift to yourself or someone you love 🥰💜

Time to dust this one off... 😁

Just in time for the dreaded Black Friday events that strike fear into the hearts of all the small, independent businesses, here is my little adage to remind us all that a handmade gift means so much more!

Don't get me wrong, sometimes you might be able to grab a bargain from one of the big guys on Black Friday that you might never be able to get at another time. But I always remember that small businesses just can't offer such massive discounts, if any, so supporting them too makes so much sense.

I've been in a bit of a creative slump for the past few weeks, but it's all good now 😊.
Here are two sets I made which contain two notebooks, two bookmarks, a tag to write a message and a pouch to keep them all together. I got the idea from Treasure books a long time ago, but put my own flair in it. 😊
I used two different wallpapers and fussy cuts from books and magazines 😊💜
