A busy day of recipe testing today - this first one is delicious - little snippets of what’s to come in the next few days, and at the end some new photos of me, taken by the fabulous WEDDING & EVENT CONTENT CREATOR - which is your favourite? Let me know!

A savoury recipe for Savour Kilkenny Food Festival 2026 - tastes great! Checking again just to be sure!

In honour of mammy’s anniversary - four years today - a tablecloth that wasn’t hers but is very much her style - found for me by my sister at we love markets yesterday. It has already brought great joy and comfort.

More recipe testing - different versions of the same bake

Here’s another one

I’ve a lot of juice to freeze or drink!

A finished product

Devastated!!! My June fruit sprang a ‘leak’ - the container wasn’t fully sealed so the whole thing dried out - I nearly cried!

Some new photos - what do you think?

The yellow chair still making an appearance - what can I say / the light hits better there!

Surreal to think this is my own book!

Trying to remember what I was making there - maybe Brack testing!

And another - I’ve a fine collection of Joseph Ribkoff Ireland jackets which I adore!

This one too - what do you think?

See pinned comment below - video missed one important ingredient! Have you made this before? I make it every year - I used it at my demo at Savour Kilkenny Food Festival last year and I wanted to share it again. I buy all my spices from Dublin Spice Company - not an ad - I love their products - they ship to the UK too - and I have a code for you from Brian - ORLA10 to get 10% off until October 31st.
The spices come in sachets and I decant into all my old spice jars that are so much more expensive to buy. Feel free to buy or not - you’re getting the discount, not me!
Anyway! Pumpkin spice recipe for you - tell me what you use it in - I’m dying to know what other people go with theirs.
And do you have a different recipe for it? I think you can buy it from Brian ready mixed this year too.
We had a gorgeous afternoon in a very sunny Dublin - flea markets are just wonderful. My sister found a jewel of a buy which she allowed me to steal from her / would you like to see it?
Happy Sunday and I hope the week is kind to you - bank holiday on its way!

This is my Saturday Bake with Gem - inspired by my beautiful sister in law Marylou. In the last years with mam and dad there was always a tea brack in the house. Dad didn’t like to eat some of the time, but he really loved this brack.
I hope you can join me and Bláthnaid as we get together and Bake with Gem for the next ‘Gem-eration’.
Saturday October 17th at 7pm

I promised this ages ago! Here it is - two ways to preserve your bramleys - if you don’t make apple jelly or butter out of them. I always have these in my freezer. What do you do with yours?
I also made a video on pectin but I’m away for a few days and couldn’t be arsed editing here in the sun!
Hope this will keep you going for a few days - chat tomorrow!

-Ad - Is it feeling a little summery today where you are? I’m trying to hang on to it - so I made these mojito muffins - unbelievably light and fluffy - and full of the goodness of that gorgeous live natural yoghurt that I’ve been using for a while now. Great to eat, and wonderful to bake with too. I The 1 litre pouch is great and so easy to store. Let me know if you’ll try these ones! I made a traybake of the mix too so I could add a little more goodness - see the drizzle topping - that was good!

Here’s my Sunday tip! It grew out of something I was asked during the week. This is a brilliant tool - honestly - it lasts a long time and works for fruits, garlic, nutmeg, tonka, ginger - although this tip is specifically for citrus fruits - I’d work the opposite way for the rest! Have a lovely day! The weather is good where I am right now! What about where you are? The brand I use is a

You might want to hold on to your hats for this one! This recipe is in the book but here I’ve made one with some shortcuts to ease your journey. This is my most favourite way to eat courgettes ever. What do you think? Will you try this? I’ll add ingredients below but quantities are kind of arbitrary - ish!
I’m hoping to take a bit of time off next week - I’ll have a couple of recipes and details about my next live which is next Saturday night - but I’m going to have a little sort of time out!
Enjoy this one 💞💞

I have so many videos backed up! I’ll get to them I promise - meantime I’ve had so many questions and DMs about this - so here you are - tonka.
I have my poached apple video so I’ll try to share that later, but life is really chaotic right now - down to the tomorrow - back in my home town!
I have a load of apple recipes - I just need to share!
